From the architect. Co'met brings together three distinct functions—an arena, a convention center, and an exhibition center—in a new and powerful architectural expression. These three elements converge along the southern entrance to Orléans, France, in a spectacular arrangement of volumes. The project forms a single, vast multifunctional facility, a unique venue for sports, culture, and events. In this way, Co'met fundamentally transforms the perception of the metropolitan gateway to Orléans through its unique, continuous alignment of volumes.

The CO’Met Arena, Congress, and Convention Center has a light, clear volume that contrasts with the forms of traditional large functional venues, yet its character emanates outward from within itself. The building's fluid, gentle design is inspired by the subtle atmosphere of the Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The undulating draping of the facade envelops the arena area and extends to all facilities. The variations in light and the color of the sky break up the building's seemingly uniform exterior. The facade "floats" around the building, creating a transparent skin that subtly outlines its contours while adding depth to the spatial volumes, allowing perceptions of the building to be constantly renewed beyond the initial impression.
CO’Met 竞技场活动及会议中心有着轻盈、清晰的体量，并与传统大型功能性场所的形态形成对比，同时其特征也由自身向外发散。建筑流动、温柔的设计风格灵感来源于名列联合国教科文组织世界遗产的卢瓦尔河畔（Loire）的微妙氛围。其立面起伏的垂坠感包裹着整个竞技场区，并延伸至所有设施。光线、天空色彩的变化打破了建筑看似单一的外表。建筑立面“漂浮”在建筑物外围，并为其创造透明的外衣，隐约地勾勒着它的轮廓，同时也为空间体量制造了景深，由此让人们不止于第一瞬间的印象，而是可以不断地更新对建筑的认知。

At night, Co'met will transform under subtle lighting, revealing a new identity. Its entrance features a vast open-air canopy, connecting to the city "forecourt" along the tram line and a preserved native forest, the Bois des Montées, thus placing nature at the heart of the visitor experience, creating a remarkable "dialogue" and resonance between landscape and city.
在夜间，Co'met 将会在微妙的灯光下变幻，呈现全新的形象。其入口处有着巨大的露天雨棚，并连接着电车轨道一侧的城市“前庭”、以及场地内一片保存完好的原生森林 Bois des Montées，由此将大自然环境放置于游览体验的核心，让景观和城市有着瞩目的“对话”与呼应。

This project is also part of an ambitious sustainability plan. In terms of energy consumption, the building is the most efficient sports facility in France to date: the entire volume can be entirely supplied by geothermal energy.

Furthermore, the building exhibits great "frugality": the facade design is based on the concept of "lightness" and minimizes material usage.

Internally, the concrete structure is exposed without any additional finishing, creating a serene and sober landscape with minimal resource consumption, which complements the atmosphere of the event spaces. The signage design is directly applied to the concrete walls, thus integrating into the architectural spatial design.
在内部空间，混凝土结构暴露在外，并没有任何额外装饰，由此以最少的资源消耗营造宁静、朴实的风景，同时和活动场所的氛围相辅相成。其中的标识设计也直接应用于混凝土墙之上，由此融入了建筑的空间设计。

The architects deeply understand that the best way to address climate issues through architectural design is to ensure the building's optimal and most effective use after its completion. Moreover, the building avoids a single function, instead accommodating multiple uses, thereby extending the intensity and availability period of the facility's operation.
建筑师深知应对气候问题最好的建筑设计方式是在建筑建成后，对其进行最佳、最有效的利用。同时，建筑并没有固守单一功能而是能够容纳多个功能，由此也延长了设施的使用强度和可用时间段。

The arena, with its 10,000 seats, features a modular design adaptable to all types of cultural or sporting events. The convention center is a direct extension of the arena and exhibition center: this configuration brings together almost all the spaces of the project into a unique venue, enabling continuous operation throughout the year.
