场地文脉的尊重与激活:该项目精妙地捕捉了“下浪”场地本身所蕴含的自然美学和地域文化精髓。它并非强行植入新的元素,而是通过增设一片“大幕”(天幕)、几步台阶和汀步,对现有景观进行了恰到好处的激活。设计紧扣“环两山建筑艺术计划”中“暑至临溪濯足”的地域记忆,巧妙地将澜石河戏水长卷这一自然场景,以当代设计的语汇进行放大和聚焦,体现了对场地灵性的深刻理解和尊重。

轻量化与适应性的结构策略:建筑师采用了高度适应性与轻量化的结构方案来支撑天幕。结构基础巧妙地利用了现状公厕的主体结构和新建的矮墩,通过拉索系统完成了天幕的搭建。这种设计不仅满足了功能需求,更实现了建造与运营的灵活逻辑:天幕可根据季节(盛夏、台风雨天、秋冬淡季)进行开合和拆卸,极大地降低了长期维护的复杂性和对建设指标的索取,体现了“取之于场地,用之于场地”的智慧。

“第五立面”的艺术化表达:“下浪大幕”被视为场地的“第五立面”,超越了传统遮阳棚的功能性,成为了一件介入环境的艺术装置。通过与本土艺术家的合作,天幕被赋予了关于惠州水乡记忆的轻盈笔触,将自然光影和地域叙事融入其中,形成了“风吹水上鳞”的诗意画面。这种将功能性构筑物转化为公共艺术载体的做法,极大地提升了项目的文化价值和公共参与度。

The Xia-Lang Grand Canopy is one of the sixteen stations for the "Ring-Two-Mountains Architectural Art Plan." It is located at the stepping-stone entrance between the most scenic tourist road and the Lanshi River. The Lanshi River flows down from Mount Luofu, dividing into numerous small water veins that pass through bamboo forests, paddy fields, and villages. In the height of summer, not a single square meter of water surface is wasted, and the sky is fully covered by the canopy. Even when surveying the site in winter, one can glimpse the magnificent summer scenes through the endless cobbles with iron hooks scattered on the gravel beach.
下浪大幕为「环两山建筑艺术计划」十六所驿站的其中一站。位于最美旅游公路和澜石河之间的汀步入口。澜石河从罗浮山高处流下,被分流成大大小小的水脉,穿过竹林、水田、村庄。盛夏时分,没有一平米的水面会被浪费,天幕扎得满满当当。即使是冬天来踏勘,也能通过石滩上无穷无尽带着铁钩的卵石,窥见夏日盛景。

Searching for "Xia-Lang" on social media reveals 100 different postures of Lingnan people playing in the water. We adopt the metaphor of one of the "Sixteen Pleasures"—"Wading in the stream to cool the feet in summer"—and add a large canopy to this long scroll of Lanshi water play.
在社交媒体搜索「下浪」,会看到 100 种岭南人戏水的姿态。我们沿用十六乐事其中「暑至临溪濯足」的隐喻,在这幅澜石嬉水长卷上,加上了一片大号的天幕。

No need for extensive, contrived planning; the site itself has a spirit and has already written the brief: Xia-Lang is beautiful. If we could add a canopy for shade, a few steps for proximity to water, and a stepping stone to cross the river, it would probably be even more beautiful. The future café operator at the site does not require a large building area, which can be accommodated within the projection area of the existing public toilet. The remaining outdoor space will be the focus of our conception.
无需太多无中生有的策划,场地有灵,本身就已将任务书写好:下浪美,如果能再加上一片天幕遮阳、几步台阶亲水、一道汀步过河,大概就更美了。场地未来的咖啡馆运营方,对建筑面积的要求不高,可在现状公厕的投影面积内消化。那剩下的室外天地,将会是我们构想的重点。

First, look at the sky (canopy). The cobbles serve as the structural foundation for the villagers to lease the canopy. Xia-Lang Grand Canopy utilizes the main structure of the toilet block, using four partition walls to frame 8 structural columns, forming the foundation for the higher side of the canopy; on the side of the existing weir, four corresponding short piers are built to form the foundation for the other side. Cables are tensioned between these high and low, north and south foundations to complete the canopy's structural setup. In the scorching summer, the canopy is deployed to welcome tourists; during typhoon rain, the canopy is retracted for safety; in the off-season of autumn and winter, the canopy is taken down for easier maintenance, and it avoids demanding more construction quotas. This is a lightweight and flexible construction and operation logic, taking from the site and using it for the site.
先看天(幕),卵石是村民租赁天幕的结构基础。下浪大幕决定利用厕所的主体结构,用四个片墙归纳 8 根结构柱,形成天幕较高一侧的基础;在现状陂头一侧,砌筑对应矮墩四个,形成另一侧的基础。在一高一低一南一北两道基础间拉索,完成天幕的结构搭建。酷暑盛夏,天幕支开,迎接游客;台风雨天,天幕收拢,保障安全;秋冬淡季,天幕摘下,便于管养,也无需索要更多建设指标。轻松灵活的建造运营逻辑,取之于场地,用之于场地。

Next, look at the ground landscape. After satisfying the river blue line setback and hydraulic elevation requirements, we regard the ground projection of the canopy as the starting point for entering the stepping stones, an enlarged platform for descending to the river, similar to a "bridgehead," accommodating gatherings and water-related activities for people.
再看地面景观,在满足了河道蓝线退线及水利标高要求后,我们将天幕的地面投影面,视作进入汀步的起点,一个放大的下河台地,类似于「桥头」的角色,承接人流聚会、亲水活动。

The canopy, as the fifth façade of the site, is a natural canvas on the earth. We thank the local Huizhou grassroots artist, Old Zhu, for leaving a light footnote in Xia-Lang. Old Zhu said: two generations were born in Huizhou, perhaps having little connection to the "Dao," and rarely visited Mount Luofu, but growing up in Huizhou naturally meant an abundance of "water": memories of playing by the East River as a child, the chirping of insects and the heat of summer—all appearing in his mind. Where there is water, there is wind; under the setting sun, against the backlight, with a gentle breeze over the water, the shimmering light—this is the most beautiful time of the day. Of course, "scales shimmering on the water blown by the wind" is a phrase Yu Ying-shih used to recall his teacher Qian Mu; for me, aren't the fragments of my childhood hometown the same?
天幕,作为场地的第五立面,是天然的大地画布。感谢惠州本土草根艺术家老朱,为下浪留下轻盈的注脚。老朱说:两代人出生在惠州,也许与「道」无缘,罗浮山竟很少前往,但长在惠州自然少不了「水」:记忆中少时东江边的嬉戏,夏日的虫鸣与燥热 一一 呈现脑海中。有水自然有风,夕阳下,逆光中,清风水上,波光粼粼,一日中最美好的时光莫过于此。当然「风吹水上鳞」是余英时先生回忆其师钱穆先生的句子,对于我而言,儿时的故乡片段何尝又不是如此。

The project schedule was tight; the period from site survey to commencement of work spanned the winter and spring seasons, so the scenes of water play in Xia-Lang only existed in imagination. It wasn't until construction was nearing completion that the Lingnan summer finally arrived, lychees hung heavy on the branches, and dragon boat rains visited the site three times a day, finally waking up the once quiet village. Riverside guesthouses gradually opened, and empty houses in the village turned into restaurants. In the future, once the river dredging project is completed, we will welcome the season of "wading in the stream to cool the feet in summer," which will also be the time when the Xia-Lang Grand Canopy is appraised by villagers and tourists. *Subsequently, due to blue line control restrictions, the existing public toilet could not be constructed, and the implementation plan was mirrored to the north side of the weir, with the café being a newly constructed structure.
项目进度要求紧张,从踏勘到开工,是冬春两季,下浪村戏水的画面从来只存在想象中。直至施工接近尾声,岭南夏日终于开启,荔枝挂满枝头,龙舟雨一日三访工地,寂寥的村子也终于醒了过来,沿河民宿陆续开张,村中空屋开起了餐馆。假以时日,待河道整治工程完成,我们便能迎来「暑至临溪濯足」的时节,也是下浪大幕被村民与游客验收的时分。*后续因蓝线管控的原因,现状公厕不具备施工条件,实施方案镜像到了陂头北侧,咖啡馆改为新建结构。
