空间重塑与开放性:该项目最显著的亮点在于对传统办公环境的颠覆性改造。设计团队将原本封闭的工业建筑,重塑为一系列相互连通的社交空间。通过增设二层主入口的斜坡通道,有效地避开了地面层的干扰,创造了独特的空间体验。内部空间的重新组织,包括旋转45度的玻璃盒子,打破了传统的正交环路,形成丰富的次级路径,模糊了工作区之间的界限。这种设计鼓励了人们在流动的空间中相遇和交流,从而促进了开放、协作与创新精神的体现,将办公场所转变为一个充满活力和互动性的社区中心。
材料与设计的融合:项目的精髓在于对材料和设计的巧妙运用,将羊绒产业的特性融入建筑本身。新的外立面设计,模块化的构件系统,不仅赋予了建筑全新的外观,更像是一件充满精密工业质感的外衣,呼应了羊绒加工的精细工艺。穿孔铝板和弧形铝板的精准布置,保证了室内外的视觉连通性,同时也引导着人们在空间中的移动。样品库的重新定义,将静态展览转化为互动交流,体现了对羊绒研发过程的开放和透明。这种设计理念,将建筑本身打造成了羊绒产业文化的载体,深化了品牌的内涵。
功能与创新的平衡:该项目在功能性与创新性之间取得了完美的平衡。通过灵活的空间布局,满足了研发团队多样化的工作需求,既有私密的个人工作空间,也有开放的集体讨论区域。演讲厅、空中连桥和观景平台的巧妙设计,促进了不同功能区域之间的互动和交流,营造了一种轻松、活跃的氛围。样品区采用工作台与垂直墙挂系统相结合的方式,鼓励主动展示和使用研发工具,激发持续的原型讨论。这种设计,为创新提供了自由流动的空间,同时也体现了对本土员工工作习惯的尊重,从而构建了一个充满活力、能够促进创新发生的现代工作场所。

The Cashmere Technology Center, located on the outskirts of Ordos City, Inner Mongolia, was built at the turn of the millennium. This complex of buildings located in a vast desert was initially planned as a self-sufficient industrial community. Within the park, the technology center was originally responsible for the professional functions of cashmere research and production. The building is equipped with laboratories, sample testing rooms, and professional studios to serve highly specialized research and development processes. Our design task is to transform this slightly old facility into a research and development community that conforms to contemporary work styles - a modern workplace that embodies openness, collaboration, and innovation.
位于内蒙古鄂尔多斯市郊外的羊绒技术中心,建于千禧之交。这座坐落于广袤荒漠中的建筑群,最初被规划成一个自给自足的产业社区。园区内,技术中心原本承担着羊绒研发与生产的专业职能。建筑内设有实验室、样品检测室和专业工作室,服务于高度专业化的研发流程。我们的设计任务是将这座略显老旧的设施,改造成为一个符合当代工作方式的研发社区 —— 一个体现开放、协作与创新精神的现代化工作场所。

We are reimagining the traditional office environment as a series of interconnected social spaces. Here, people achieve natural integration through active contact and visual communication. In order to create a more community oriented work environment, we first started by improving spatial connectivity: adding an independent main entrance on the second floor of the building, and creating a ramp passage between the new facade and the original exterior wall, creating a direct flow to the core area. This design not only avoids interference from the ground level, but also gives users and visitors a unique spatial experience.
我们将传统办公环境重新构想成一系列相互连接的社交空间。在这里,人与人通过活动接触和视觉交流而实现自然融合。为了打造更具社区感的工作环境,我们首先从改善空间连通性入手:在建筑二层增设独立的主入口,通过在新立面与原有外墙之间嵌入一道斜坡通道,创造了直达核心区域的流线。这一设计不仅避开了地面层的干扰,更赋予使用者和访客独特的空间体验。

The original building adopts a closed "zigzag" layout. In the renovation, we partially retained this feature while rotating around the central courtyard and opening up multiple areas. Key functional spaces such as R&D studios, technical research rooms, R&D areas, and sample libraries have been reorganized. We use glass boxes for planting green plants to rotate 45 degrees in a grid system, which breaks the traditional orthogonal loop and creates rich secondary paths, making the flow of the three-layer space more free. As a result, the boundaries between work areas became blurred, and people gained more opportunities to meet and communicate in the flowing space.
原建筑采用封闭的”回字形”布局。在改造中,我们部分保留了这个特征,同时围绕中央庭院旋转并打开了多个区域。研发工作室、技术研究室、研发区域和样品库等关键功能空间被重新组织。我们用种植绿植的玻璃盒子在网格系统中旋转 45 度,这一设计打破了传统的正交环路,创造出丰富的次级路径,让三层空间的流动更加自由。由此,各工作区之间的界限变得模糊,人们在流动的空间中获得了更多相遇和交流的机会。

Our fundamental goal in reshaping the internal space is to create an open and diverse work environment. Here, people can choose their own way of working: they can have small discussions or personal video conferences in private spaces, or participate in collective discussions in open areas, achieving flexible switching between individual focus and team collaboration.
我们重塑内部空间的根本目的,是创造一个开放而多元的工作环境。在这里,人们可以自主选择工作方式:既可以在私密空间进行小型讨论或个人视频会议,也可以在开放区域参与集体讨论,实现个体专注与团队协作的灵活切换。

Abandoning the traditional approach of using the atrium as a display area in the original building, we focus more on stimulating the innovative vitality of the research and development team. The samples on the walls and shelves are no longer static exhibits, but interactive elements that can be accessed and observed at any time. By redefining the sample library as a discussion space, we have made the product development process more open and transparent. Considering the work habits of local employees, we have set up the sample rooms of each studio in prominent locations facing the public atrium and hallway, while placing the actual office area behind the sample rooms, ensuring privacy and allowing each workstation to enjoy natural lighting and outdoor scenery. We have designed the lecture hall at a 45 degree angle to the original building grid, which enhances the spatial dialogue with the material warehouse and sample area. The newly built aerial bridge lightly spans the atrium, physically separating the functions of the speech salon and the main hall while maintaining visual connectivity. The newly built observation platform on the bridge has become an excellent place for people to meet unexpectedly, while also dividing the speech hall and atrium in the physical space while maintaining visual interaction and connection.
舍弃原始建筑中的中庭用作展示区的传统做法,我们更注重激发研发团队的创新活力。墙面和架上的样品不再是静态的展览品,而是可供随时取用、观摩的互动元素。通过将样品库重新定义为研讨空间,我们让产品研发过程变得更加开放透明。考虑到本地员工的工作习惯,我们将各工作室的样品间设置在面向公共中庭和走道的显眼位置,而将实际办公区安置在样品间后方,既保证了私密性,又让每个工位都能享受自然采光和室外景观。我们将演讲厅设计为与原有建筑网格呈 45 度角,这一布局强化了与材料库、样品区的空间对话。新建的空中连桥轻盈地跨越中庭,既在物理上分隔了演讲沙龙与主厅功能,又保持了视觉上的连通。新建的连桥上的观景平台更成为促进人们不期而遇的绝佳场所,同时也在物理空间中将演讲厅与中庭做了区域的分割同时又保持了视觉的交互和联系。

Our renovation not only preserves the building's original structure, but also gives it a brand new exterior. The modular facade system is like a coat full of precision industrial texture, gently enveloping the original building. After the new facade, we embedded a sloping passage leading to the main entrance on the second floor, redefining the building's arrival experience.
我们的改造在保留建筑本体的同时,赋予其全新的建筑表皮。模块构件化的立面系统犹如一件充满精密工业质感二的外衣,将原有建筑温柔包裹。在这层新立面之后,我们嵌入了一道通往二层主入口的斜坡通道,重新定义了建筑的抵达体验。

The design of the three major elements of the facade:
1. Using standardized modules of 1.5 meters by 5.8 meters to redefine the building scale, the slender panel lines visually reduce the sense of volume of the building
2. Carefully arranged perforated aluminum panels ensure visual connectivity between indoor and outdoor areas while maintaining the integrity of the facade
3. Curved aluminum panels are accurately positioned according to the internal space view requirements and the main streamline direction, guiding people's movement in the space
立面的三大元素设计:
1.采用 1.5米 × 5.8 米的标准化模块重新划分建筑尺度,通过修长的面板线条在视觉上减轻了建筑的体量感
2.精心布置的穿孔铝板在保持立面完整性的同时,确保了室内外的视觉连通

The spacious central reception space serves a dual purpose. Although this elevated space is not a dedicated exhibition hall, its uniform lighting conditions and open space are perfectly suitable for hosting large-scale project exhibitions, with the aim of creating an open working and discussion environment. Displaying here is not the purpose, but a tool for discussion and a carrier for information exchange. The seats set up around can serve as both a resting place for people and a temporary exhibition stand. Eight R&D studios of different groups and their affiliated material warehouses are surrounded on one side of the atrium, with a soft connection to the atrium through an open discussion area.
宽敞的中央接待空间承载着双重功能。这个通高的空间虽非专门的展厅,但其均匀的照明条件和开阔的场地完全适合举办大型项目展示,目的是营造一个开放的工作和讨论的场景。在这里展示不是目的,而是讨论的工具和信息交流的载体。周边设置的座椅既可供人休憩,也可兼作临时展台。八间不同组别的研发工作室以及其附属的材料库环绕在中庭的一侧,通过开敞讨论区与中庭实现软连接。

The speech space connected to the main building through the newly built bridge is equipped with adjustable curtain partitions, which can meet different needs from private salons to large-scale lectures. The tiered seating provides flexible seating arrangements, while the observation deck in the upper corridor makes the activities happening here the visual focal point of the entire space. When the screen is lowered, it immediately transforms into a knowledge field for professional discussions and collective learning.
The research and development sample area adopts a combination of workbench and vertical wall hanging system. Here, material samples are no longer stored statically, but are actively displayed and used as research and development tools. This arrangement has stimulated continuous prototype discussions and design reviews, forming a new working method centered on public discussions.
Soft film lighting is dotted like stars above the office area, and its irregular arrangement forms an interesting overlap with the workbench layout. The glass box decorated with green plants serves as a visual node between open office areas. This design encourages spontaneous communication, cross disciplinary collisions, and multi-level dialogue, allowing innovation to flow freely in space.
通过新建的连桥与主楼相连的演讲空间配备可升降的布帘隔断,能够适应从私密沙龙到大型讲座的不同需求。阶梯式座位提供灵活的座位安排,而上层廊道的观景平台让这里发生的活动成为整个空间的视觉焦点。当屏幕降下时,这里立即变身为专业研讨和集体学习的知识场域。
研发样品区采用工作台与垂直墙挂系统相结合的方式。在这里,材料样品不再是静态存储,而是被主动展示和使用的研发工具。这种布置方式促发了持续的原型讨论和设计评审,形成了一种以公共讨论为核心的新型工作方法。

In the face of the current challenge of renovating and updating existing industrial buildings, we attempt to use precise modular control and delicate spatial processing to transform the originally heavy building volume into a new, lightweight appearance. The newly constructed exterior is like an exquisite shell, covering the traces of time and implying the brand's core value - the ingenious process of transforming natural wool into hairless cashmere. The architecture that has undergone transformation not only witnesses the sublimation of materials from primitive to refined, but also becomes a vibrant place for cultivating innovation and promoting communication.
面对存量工业建筑的改造和更新这一当下的命题,我们尝试通过精准的模数控制和细腻的空间处理,让原本厚重的建筑体量展现出轻盈的新貌。新建的外立面如同一个精致的外壳,既遮掩了岁月的痕迹,又暗示着品牌的核心价值 —— 将天然羊毛转化为无毛羊绒的匠心历程。历经蜕变的建筑,不仅见证了材料从原始到精制的升华,更将成为培育创新、促进交流的活力场所。
