The main entrance of the house is located on the upper level, with a terrace and a mirrored pool at the entrance to welcome every visitor. This water feature not only reflects the surrounding jungle and sunset glow, but also brings a hint of coolness to the lower level social space. In addition, it creates a peaceful and contemplative atmosphere, serving as the starting point for a sensory experience that deeply connects nature and architecture.

Climbing down from the terrace, the trail surrounds the surroundings, as if leading people into the shelter of a cave. At the end, the space suddenly opens up, forming a tall social area with a huge opening that frames the stunning scenery of mountains and the sea. This floor integrates a study, kitchen, dining area, living room, swimming pool, and bonfire pit. The design of these spaces not only encourages people to gather and enjoy the surrounding scenery, but also flexibly adapts to different usage needs. The project follows the natural slope of the site and adopts a stepped design, perfectly integrating with the terrain to ensure that every space can enjoy the beautiful scenery.

The lowest level is the bedroom area, where the scenery outside blends seamlessly with the tree canopy, creating an intimate atmosphere both inside and outside the room. The earth tone materials used in the design evoke the warm colors of the setting sun, while also cleverly echoing the shell of the crab, further enhancing the visual integration between the building and the arid landscape of Escondido Port. The water features scattered throughout the house evoke the petrified waterfall of Hierve el Agua.
