The Rolling Room House is located on the slopes of Ilal ó, and its community is committed to responsible water resource management, protecting local vegetation, and achieving landscape integration. This residence is designed for a young couple with keen insights into life, aiming to provide a conscious alternative to traditional architectural patterns in rural areas of urban expansion zones. From the beginning of the project, the goal was to create a residential building that integrates with nature in a way that respects nature and is economical.

The main strategy is to accurately interpret the terrain, including topography, orientation, landscape views, and vegetation conditions. The hillside was not renovated, but the building volume was made to conform to the contour lines, avoiding cutting or landfilling operations. The foundation and first layer of walls are constructed with local stone materials, which not only provide thermal quality but also maintain continuity with the surrounding environment. On top of these stone structures stands a rammed earth wall, which is an ancient technique for constructing stabilized compacted soil and serves the functions of structural, thermal, and functional zoning.

Under a large sloping roof supported by rammed earth walls and laminated timber structures, a continuous and flexible space is formed. This roof not only provides shelter, but also allows for multiple ways of use. There are no fixed partitions in the residence; All layouts revolve around a service wall and a series of movable elements that can change the spatial layout as needed.

Two large rolling wooden boxes accommodate private space: a master bedroom with a wardrobe and dressing table, and a study with both TV room functionality and a built-in sofa bed. These boxes can be moved within the building volume, allowing for different spatial configurations: open for gatherings, close for privacy, and reorganize according to lighting, climate, or mood.

The living area consists of low modules with movable backrests; The restaurant is equipped with a rolling table and lightweight chairs. The kitchen island is the only fixed element that serves as a visual finishing touch. The service facilities are located between the buttresses of the rammed earth wall, releasing the rest of the layout plan.

Residential buildings have established a complex relationship with their surrounding environment: towards the north, it forms a visual protection; To the south, open up to the valley landscape through a continuous platform. There is no clear main entrance; Smooth entry and exit blur the boundary between architecture and landscape.

A separate volume accommodates a pottery studio, intentionally separated from the residential area to distinguish between creative activities and family life. The studio is built on a hillside without any terrain modification. It is connected to residential buildings through stone paths that cleverly link the parking lot, stairs, storage room, and a garden.

The landscape is envisioned as an extension of the local ecosystem: using native species, minimizing lawn area, and integrating gardens into the living system. Water resources are managed through infiltration systems, separation, and biological treatment, supplemented by thermal energy and photovoltaic solar energy.
