The project aims to improve the livability and quality of life in the vicinity by increasing elements of significant environmental and ecological importance in the area. The park is located in a unique post-industrial area between the Vizafogo prefabricated housing estate and the new Agora office buildings.

Although the de-industrialization of the area began with projects such as the Vizafogo social housing estate at the end of the 20th century and continued with large-scale developments like the Agora office buildings in the 21st century, the old site of the industrial railway remains vacant to this day.

Encouraged by the local community, the city hall took the initiative to change the zoning of the site, which made it possible to realize the Vizafogo Park project that combines unique functions to meet various recreational needs. At its center is a uniquely shaped lake that has an ecological self-cleaning ability due to the diversity of plants distributed along its banks, which also improves the local microclimate.

The pavilion is located on a light pier extending into the lake. The sawtooth roof and the small wooden café underneath give the pavilion a unique personality, distinguishing it from the brutal environment.

The desire to create a park beneficial to the local ecology and community is also reflected in the design of the Vizafogo Pavilion, where materials and construction techniques play an important role in positioning the building as an extension of the park's sustainability concept.
