这是由people's architecture office设计的中国北京大栅栏四合院遮阳板。这是由北京国际设计周主办方beatricelanza邀请，为老北京胡同大栅栏的部分四合院，设计并制作了遮阳板。
这些原本宽敞的四合院，被各种违建的房子占据了大部分空间，曾经在院中遮阳的大树，也没有空间生长。因此，people's architecture office被邀请来设计一个夏季遮阳的结构，安置在这些院子中。这些结构是用于摄影的反光板，很轻，并且不占空间，容易拆卸和拼装，可以按照用户的需求组装，适用于各种庭院，在冬季也容易储存。这些结构可以有效地避免夏季直晒，同时也不会完全遮挡院内的自然光。

beijing design week’s curator beatricelanza commissioned people’s architecture office to create an in-situ installation in the old hutongdashilar, where most of the design interventions of the festival were hosted. the pop-up canopy returns the yard of the traditional chinese courtyard house to its original function as the primary social space of the house. traditionally trees were an essential component of the yard, providing shade during the summer months while allowing sunlight to filter through during the winter months. through china’s tumultuous urban development, however, trees disappeared from many courtyards as these single family homes were subdivided into multi-family dwellings. illegally built structures filled the yards leaving only enough space for narrow walkways let alone trees.
