这是由法国艺术家benedetto bufalino 和照明设计师 benoit deseille共同设计的电话亭水族馆。该项目发起于2007年的法国里昂灯火节，两位设计师将一座普通的电话亭改装成为一个带有梦幻色彩的水族箱，里面装着充满异国情调的鱼类。
随着手机的推广和应用，曾经占据世界各大城市街头的电话亭，正在逐渐消失之中。这两位设计师们采用这样的方式，对电话亭进行了一个新型的可视化改造。在第一个作品的问世之后，设计师们随后在法国的比亚里茨（2009年），毛里求斯的路易港（2009年），比利时的根特（2011年）分别安装了类似的作品。“电话亭水族馆”为压抑的城市生活增添了一抹亮色。2013年11月14-17日在英国达勒姆举办的鲁米埃尔节日期间，设计师们应邀在那里安装一部新的电话亭水族馆。

enabling everyday moments to border on dream-like visions and urban reality, the ‘phone booth aquarium’ installations by french artist benedetto bufalino and lighting and designer benoit deseille are a playful transformation of common telephone boxes. the project was initiated in 2007 for lyon’s festival of lights, where the duo re-purposed a regular phone booth to hold a brightly colored aquarium, full of exotic fish. due to the rise of the mobile phone, the iconic booths are rapidly disappearing from cities worldwide – these water tanks offer a visual reinvention. following the initial success of the first proposal, aquariums were installed in biarritz (france, 2009) port louis (mauritius, 2009) and in gent (belgium, 2011). the work is reflective of the artists – where regular objects and materials are combined, turning them into something else all together. the ‘phone booth aquarium’ questions the redundancy of old structures and offers a moment for urban dwellers to escape from their daily environment. another ‘phone booth aquarium’ will be installed at the lumiere festival in durham, UK from the 14-17 november, 2013.
