材质与氛围的和谐统一：项目的精髓在于对材料和氛围的精心营造。设计师巧妙地将工业遗产建筑的粗犷与高尔夫俱乐部优雅的传统美学相结合。裸露的混凝土、砖墙与红橡木饰面、深绿色、浅草绿、酒红色的色调形成了鲜明对比，在保留工业风骨的同时，注入了温暖和精致。模拟器休息室内部，木饰墙面、绿色地毯、厚重窗帘营造出私密而温馨的氛围。棋盘格灯箱、条纹织物、暖色家具底座等细节，无不体现着设计师对高尔夫元素的巧妙运用。这种对材料的精准选择和搭配，使得整个空间既有历史的厚重感，又不失现代的时尚感。

From the architect. Muni is an indoor golf club designed to provide immersive and social experiences. Nordelec is a massive industrial heritage building dating back to 1913, providing an impressive historical backdrop for this unique location. The brick facade and wide windows create a stage for an indoor environment, while the exposed concrete floors, structural steel, and rough brick walls maintain the industrial characteristics of the space, while contrasting with the warm and refined interior renewal.

Layout and Spatial Flow - Covering an area of 6943 square feet (645 square meters), Muni occupies a ground floor corner unit with an exclusive entrance. The indoor space starts from a double height entrance area and includes a retail area that offers golf apparel and equipment. A reception desk made of dark green oak veneer occupies a corner of the space, and a set of concrete stairs leads guests upwards into the main club area. Customized woodworking products seamlessly blend with these stairs, making them both pathways and retail display areas. A central corridor extends from the reception area, organizing the space into independent and interconnected areas. There are seven private golf simulator lounges on one side, arranged in pairs, with the last lounge equipped with three simulators. Each lounge is designed as a semi private living room, equipped with a high legged table and chairs, soft elegant seats, and a recessed resting area, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere for conversation. The checkerboard lighting fixtures above the seating area provide ambient lighting, further enhancing the unique aesthetics of the club.

On the other side of the corridor, there is a restaurant and bar that offers all day service, making it a vibrant social hub. The high footed elegant seats decorated with dark green and navy blue striped fabric define this space, with a long public dining table and private private private room seats next to them. The polygonal bar is located in the center, with an embedded TV screen above, reflecting the club's sports oriented characteristics. Large TV screens are installed throughout the restaurant to ensure clear viewing in all seating areas. The hidden kitchen offers menus inspired by the southern flavor, including pork chops, cheese macaroni, fried chicken, shrimp and corn Congee, which are rare dishes in Montreal. There is a secondary entrance at the rear that connects Muni with the Nordelec building, making it easy to enter directly from within the building. There is a staircase behind the reception desk leading to a small attic overlooking the main floor, which can be used for hosting private events and provides an excellent view of the club's social activities.

Materials and finishes - In order to balance the cold hard and warm delicate atmosphere of industrial environments, the selection of materials draws inspiration from classic golf club aesthetics. Deep forest green, Asakusa green, and rich burgundy accents create a delicate and vibrant atmosphere. The red oak veneer covers several walls and custom woodwork elements, adding a touch of familiarity to the originally rough concrete and brick shell.

In the simulator lounge, the wooden walls, green carpet with wavy grass texture, and full height thick green curtains create a warm and enclosed atmosphere. The entire space cleverly incorporates elements of traditional golf textures, including checkerboard light boxes on the simulator ceiling, striped seat fabrics, and warm red accents on furniture bases. Other materials include opaque green dyed oak, natural red oak, smooth mint green painted walls, and green and red marble. These warm and rich materials contrast with smooth stainless steel and chrome alloy details, subtly reflecting the digital technology that drives the simulator's operation.

Lighting and Atmosphere - The carefully planned lighting scheme enhances Muni's atmosphere, strengthens its sociality and immersion. A huge warm colored lightbox, wrapped in dark green wood, hung above the reception desk and visible from the outside, leaving a deep first impression on people. Inside the restaurant, soft fabric cylindrical lamps hang down from the open ceiling, while customized steel wall lamps with burgundy panels are arranged along the walls, adding warmth and contrast. To create a more intimate dining experience, customized triangular lighting fixtures (inspired by golf flags) are hung above the bar. In the simulator lounge, square pendant lights in a checkerboard pattern hang above tables and chairs, providing ambient lighting that echoes the iconic pattern of this sport. The simple chrome alloy wall lamps add a touch of warmth to the lounge, while the main hallway features a illuminated gallery wall displaying vintage golf images, evoking the aesthetic atmosphere of the classic "Hall of Fame" of the country club.
