From the architect. The V Apartment is located in the Ermionida area of Greece. It was originally a 75 square meter, high rise one story mechanical workshop, which was later transformed by Naki Atelier design studio into a vibrant living space. The apartment spans between the local street and the backyard. Due to the fact that only one side of the apartment allows sunlight to enter, the main facade has been carefully designed to optimize the effect of natural light entering the interior.

The renovated house is divided into two basic areas: a private area consisting of two bedrooms and one bathroom, and a large open plan multifunctional living area. The private area is connected by a corridor that continues the linear part of the kitchen. The other parts of the kitchen form the core of the house, including the dining area with suspended steel structures and the attic.

The latter (attic) creates an additional resting area, while also forming the "roof" of the kitchen and dining area. In addition, it reduces the height of the space, creating a more warm and comfortable atmosphere. The designer fully utilized the advantage of the existing 4.20-meter-high ceiling height and conceptualized the attic as an open integrated space between two floors, where natural light can connect multiple different spaces.

The attic, as a piece of architectural furniture, is envisioned as a key feature of the design, integrating multiple services including a kitchen, dining area, relaxation area, and storage area. To commemorate its first use, the new space is composed of a red steel structure and customized stainless steel furniture. Tinos green marble, thick textiles, bold colored tiles, and unprocessed birch plywood are used to enhance the modernity of the apartment.
