对马戏艺术独特需求的精准满足与空间创新：新项目成功嵌入了适应当代马戏艺术的专业设施，特别是高达17米的新“零号工作室（Studio Zéro）”，其高度和正面布局直接呼应了高空特技和大型表演的需求，为学院的艺术创作和培训提供了世界级的硬件支持。同时，通过设计一个面向城市的活力新广场，项目模糊了机构内部与外部社区的界限，使学院不再是封闭的象牙塔，而是成为城市公共生活和欢聚的开放节点，增强了其社会融入度和活力。

卓越的生态责任与循环经济实践：该项目在可持续性方面的实践堪称典范，获得了法兰西岛可持续建筑银级认证。建筑师团队坚守“物尽其用、回收利用、改造创新”的初始理念，通过优先使用生物基和本地采购材料，大幅降低了碳足迹。更具开创性的是，项目将“再利用”策略融入了设计和施工流程，甚至在大帐篷内设立了再利用商店，将可持续发展从概念层面提升到了可操作的、贯穿始终的实践层面，为城市更新项目树立了绿色标杆。

The Académie Fratellini, an internationally renowned circus school, leisure center, and venue for performance creation and staging, is located in Saint-Denis, in the Greater Paris area. Following a major renovation and expansion project, the Académie Fratellini reopened to the public in October 2025. Founded in 1974 by Annie Fratellini and Pierre Étaix, the school has been rooted in Saint-Denis since 2003. This time, under the leadership of the architectural and interior design firm Atelier du Pont, the academy implemented an ambitious renovation and extension plan. The new project continues the architectural style of the original designers, Patrick Bouchain and Loïc Julienne, preserving the atmosphere and distinctive character of this vibrant and extraordinary place.

Over the past 20 years, the Académie Fratellini has experienced significant growth, necessitating a review of its operating model and site functions. Originally designed as a temporary structure, the site could no longer meet current demands. Atelier du Pont’s intervention involved preserving the existing building, expanding the academy, and re-planning the overall operational model to simplify users' daily lives, encourage the simultaneous development of various activities, and open up to the surrounding environment. Two side wings were added to the original hall, transforming it into the La Grande Halle, providing new facilities for teaching and administration required by the higher education institution. Its structure was reinforced, particularly to support suspended circus equipment. The central space thus freed up became a new welcome area for circus training and activities.
过去 20 年间，弗拉泰利尼学院实现了显著增长，不得不重新审视其运营模式及场地功能。该场地最初设计为临时性建筑，如今已难以满足需求。庞特工作室的介入，使得既有建筑得以保留，学院得以扩建，并重新规划了整体运营模式，以简化用户日常生活，鼓励各项活动同步开展，并向周边环境开放。原大厅增设了两座侧翼，变身大广场大厅（La Grande Halle），为高等教育机构及行政部门提供了教学与办公所需的新设施。其结构得到加固，特别是为了支撑悬挂的马戏装置。由此腾出的中央空间则成为了一个新的马戏训练与活动欢迎区。

To complete the existing infrastructure, a new creation and performance studio, Studio Zéro, reaching a height of 17 meters, has been built. Its frontal layout is fully adapted to the needs of contemporary circus arts. To connect these different functional areas, a vibrant new square opens up to the city, offering fresh air and a place for gathering. These developments further solidify the Académie Fratellini’s local roots and strengthen its connection with the surrounding community.

The project stands out for its ambitious environmental vision, complying with the Silver level of the Bâtiment Durable Francilien (Sustainable Building in Île-de-France) standard. The materials used are primarily bio-based and locally sourced, effectively limiting the project's carbon footprint and promoting a virtuous supply chain. The project implemented an unprecedented reuse strategy, establishing a reuse shop within the Grand Chapiteau, continuing the philosophy of the initial project throughout the construction process: making the most of resources, recycling, and innovative transformation.
