极简形式与场地文脉的精妙融合：哈德逊 L 宅以其简约的“L”形定制波纹铝板体量，精准地嵌入并回应了纽约州哈德逊地区精致的城市肌理。这种形式上的克制，不仅形成了对南向绿色庭院和雨水池的有力围合，更体现了对现有城市环境的尊重与补充。铝板立面材料（65%回收工业材料）的选择，体现了对可持续性和材料性的深刻理解，使其在保持极简美学的同时，成功地与周边环境建立了对话，完成了对基地块的有机“补丁”式介入。

光影、通风与木质肌理的室内体验：建筑内部通过垂直光井的巧妙设计，实现了对自然光线和空气流动的最大化引入，这对于提升居住者的健康和福祉至关重要。全木质的内部结构在多方向窗户的照射下，营造出温暖而细腻的光影层次。这种对自然元素的积极引入，辅以高性能的围护结构和先进的地源热泵系统，确保了卓越的室内环境质量。建筑的内部处理展现了对居住舒适度与被动式设计策略的深刻关注。

功能复合性与艺术化设计语言的统一：该项目不仅是居所，更是现代家具画廊经营者的工作室与展示空间，其设计语言必须支撑起珍贵的 20 世纪设计藏品。定制的黄铜“Hudson L”灯具及其折叠造型，以及庭院中由 L 形黄铜构件构成的雕塑化喷泉，将建筑的几何母题（L形）提升至艺术装置的层面，实现了建筑形态、室内陈设与景观小品的和谐统一。这体现了建筑师在满足业主特定功能需求的同时，通过统一的符号语言，达成艺术与生活、过去与现在的持续对话。

The building employs a minimalist "L" shaped volume clad in custom corrugated aluminum panels, enclosing a south-facing green courtyard and rainwater pond. This 158-square-meter residence, built on a vacant lot, completes the refined urban fabric of the Hudson area in New York State.

The building introduces natural light and ventilation through vertical light wells, and surrounding windows allow the all-wood interior structure to be illuminated from all directions. The residence is also equipped with a state-of-the-art ground-source heat pump system for heating and cooling—a first for the city of Hudson.

This residence serves as both a dwelling and a studio for Mark McDonald and Dwayne Resnick, operators of a renowned modern furniture gallery.

The house will display some of their collection of 20th-century design works, including a 1910 fixture by Frank Lloyd Wright and furniture designed by Rudolph Schindler.

A sculptural fountain, composed of two folded L-shaped brass components, circulates rainwater in the courtyard pond, further emphasizing the presence of natural elements.

The house is equipped with the most advanced geothermal heating and cooling system, significantly reducing energy consumption. A rainwater collection pond further strengthens its connection to the natural water cycle.
