场地文脉的精准嵌入与功能重塑：该项目成功地将新建的休闲中心作为儒勒·费里学校建筑群的有机延伸，其最精髓之处在于对场地地形的巧妙利用和对现有肌理的尊重。通过将建筑置于高地之上并采用多坡面屋顶设计，建筑实现了与周边住宅区和城市肌理的无缝衔接，极大地减少了土方工程，并赋予建筑一个既温馨又符合儿童尺度的亲切轮廓。对场地人行流线（学童专用与技术通道分离）的精细规划，以及通过遮荫前庭和重新定义的操场空间，成功地将建筑、室内活动与室外环境融为一体，提升了整体场地的可达性与使用效率。

健康环保的材料哲学与空间体验：建筑的核心价值在于其对健康、自然和可持续性的坚定承诺。设计师大胆采用了以木框架、秸秆隔热层、大麻砌块和泥土抹灰等生物基材料为主导的建造体系，这种对天然材质的偏爱不仅为儿童创造了无毒、低碳的物理环境，更在室内营造出极具触感和温度的氛围。宽敞的中央采光流通区作为“独立的生活空间”，辅以定制的木质家具和精心挑选的色彩搭配，极大地提升了儿童的空间认知与感官福祉，实现了设计美学与使用者健康需求的完美平衡。

系统化的设计策略与适应性：项目的设计策略体现了高度的系统性和适应性。建筑设计围绕“紧凑性优化、入口明确界定、轮廓亲近儿童”三大原则展开，结构上采用简单的实木椽条体系，确保了空间布局的自由度和未来的可扩展性。此外，在能源策略上，通过地热泵结合水/水热泵实现了高效的供暖制冷，并巧妙地将通风和光伏预留空间融入结构和立面设计中，展示了先进技术与本土化、人性化设计的高度集成，确保了建筑的长久生命力与环境友好性。

The new leisure center in Cébazat is situated on a slope of the residential area, extending the Jules Ferry school complex; it is a compact, single-story building.

This new facility has reorganized the entrance, playground, and walkways for the kindergarten and primary school, harmonizing with its surroundings. Its multifaceted roof promotes excellent integration into the urban fabric, creating spacious interiors and lending a warm, family-friendly atmosphere suitable for children. The building features three activity rooms and two multi-purpose dormitories, all facing east towards the playground and teaching areas. The generous central circulation area, bathed in natural light, constitutes a living space in itself. The facility aims to provide a healthy, fun, and ecological environment, utilizing a wooden frame, straw insulation, and exposed beams. Hemp block partitions and earth plaster further reinforce this design philosophy rooted in bio-based and natural materials.
该新设施对幼儿园和小学的入口、操场及人行步道进行了重新规划，同时与周边环境和谐相融。其多坡面屋顶设计促进了建筑与城市肌理的完美融合，营造出宽敞的室内空间，赋予场地温馨宜人的家庭氛围，非常适合儿童。建筑内设三大活动室和两个多功能宿舍，均朝东，面向操场及教学区域。宽敞的中央流通区沐浴在自然光下，本身亦构成一个独立的生活空间。该建筑旨在提供一个健康、有趣且环保的环境，采用木框架、秸秆隔热层及外露横梁。大麻砌块隔墙和泥土抹灰进一步强化了这一以生物基材料为基础、扎根于天然材质的设计理念。

The project takes full advantage of the site's topography, opting for a location on the upper part of the existing elevation, directly connected to the street. This choice minimizes earthworks and respects the site's integrity. The single-story building faces Rue de Terre Blanche, featuring a spacious shaded forecourt designed with ramps and steps to ensure accessibility for everyone. This reception area is equipped with street furniture: bicycle racks, seating, lighting, and greenery. Two pedestrian paths structure circulation and use. The upper path, shaded by trees, extends from the forecourt and is reserved for technical access and staff. The lower path is designed for schoolchildren, connecting the school playground to the leisure center. The compact layout frees up significant outdoor space for the playground, while shaded areas offer indoor-outdoor transition spaces: a covered playground at the main south entrance and a leisure playground directly connected to the children’s path on the north side.

General Plan

The architectural style is simple yet warm, echoing the surrounding residences, the existing school buildings, and the natural landscape through its multifaceted roof design. The use of local materials and contractors reinforces the project's strong connection to the local economy. The exterior spaces are being redeveloped following the principles of an oasis courtyard, aiming to provide children with a climate-tempered, green, and inclusive environment: existing trees are retained, and vegetation density is increased to create cool islands. Various local, edible, and climate-resilient plants are layered throughout. The ground uses grass pavers, planted areas, and organic mulch for permeability. The courtyard is designed as a shared, accessible, and versatile space, balancing active and quiet zones: vegetable garden, balance game area, picnic area, seating, sports court, sandbox, etc. These uses were determined in consultation with the users.
建筑风格简约而温馨，通过多面屋顶设计与周边住宅、现有学校建筑及自然景观相呼应。采用本地材料和承包商，强化了项目与本地经济的紧密联系。外部空间正按照绿洲庭院的原则进行重新开发，旨在为儿童提供一个气候温和、绿意盎然且包容的环境：保留现有树木，增加植被密度以创造凉爽小岛。不同层次种植了多种本地、可食用且抗气候变化的植物。地面采用植草砖、种植区和有机覆盖物，实现透水性。庭院设计为共享、可及且多功能空间，平衡了活动与安静区域：菜园、平衡游戏区、野餐区、座椅、运动场、沙坑等。这些用途均与使用者协商确定。

New look for the school complex - The building design is based on three principles: 1. Controlled compactness to optimize the facade area, 2. Two volumetric setbacks to clearly indicate the entrances: the entrance courtyard on the south and the leisure courtyard on the north, 3. A multifaceted roof creating a familiar and warm silhouette, close to the world of young children. The spatial layout of the leisure center revolves around the central circulation area, which connects the two entrances and is designed as a living space: reception, cloakrooms, information point, etc. Two secondary circulation areas ensure traffic separation: one for staff and the other leading to the courtyards and sanitary facilities.
学校建筑群的新风貌 - 建筑设计基于三大原则：1. 控制紧凑性以优化立面面积，2. 设置两个体积凹陷以明确指示入口：南侧入口庭院和北侧休闲庭院，3. 多面屋顶营造熟悉而温馨的轮廓，贴近幼儿世界。休闲中心的空间布局围绕中央流通区展开，该区域连接两个入口，并设计为生活空间：接待区、更衣室、信息点等。两个次要流通区则实现了人流分离：一个供工作人员使用，另一个通往庭院和卫生间。

Floor Plan

The activity rooms face east towards the courtyards, while the service and administrative rooms and toilets face west towards the service road. Large glass openings create visual connections between the circulation areas and the rooms. The typical pitched roof enhances the quality of the interior spaces by creating generous volumes and exposing structural features. The building's structural principle is simple and extensible: solid wood rafters span between the ridge purlins and the wall panels, reducing the number of supports, offering freedom in the spatial layout, and enabling the building's extensibility. The facades follow a regular grid pattern, with vertical posts adding texture to the cladding. Three gable widths meet different functional requirements.
活动室朝东，面向庭院，而服务和行政用房及卫生间则朝西，面向服务道路。大面积玻璃开口使流通区与房间之间形成视觉联系。典型的多坡屋顶通过创造宽敞空间和展现结构特征，提升了室内空间品质。建筑结构原则简单且可扩展：实木椽条在屋脊檩条和墙板之间拉伸，减少了支撑点数量，为空间布局提供了自由度，并实现了建筑的可扩展性。立面遵循规则网格图案，垂直立柱为覆层增添了层次感。三种山墙宽度满足不同功能需求。

The design team paid particular attention to the quality of the interior spaces to meet the specific needs of the center and the children. The spacious interiors follow the lines of the pitched roof, dominated by wood. Custom-made furniture, also made of wood, blends harmoniously with the environment, combining aesthetics and functionality. Benches equipped with storage, adapted worktops, and built-in cupboards enhance the coherence and ergonomics of the place. Special attention was paid to the color scheme of the rooms to promote children's well-being, spatial awareness, and sensory development. The combination of colors and materials creates a warm atmosphere: wood for the frames, panels, and false ceilings; linoleum for the floors; hemp walls and cork boards in shades of red; and green selectively used on specific elements such as worktops and tiles.

The signage design is bespoke for the leisure center. The characteristic roof panel has become an emblem of the building. This identity is applied to the sign at the building's entrance and to all window decals. All signage is made of brushed aluminum plates. Room names have been agreed upon with the users.

This building demonstrates a commitment to local users. It creates a healthy building for children through the use of bio-based and local materials. The project uses a wooden frame and straw insulation structure. Most of the wood used comes from the Massif Central region. Interior partitions are made of hemp blocks and earth plaster or wood framing with perforated wood panels. Ceilings and furniture are also made of wood. The floor is made of natural linoleum. The plinth uses low-carbon concrete. Special attention was paid to the durability of the wood used outdoors. We have chosen a pre-greyed cladding to ensure controlled aging over time. Furthermore, the external woodwork (BTMC certified) is painted to guarantee a lifespan of over 10 years.

The project excels in terms of compactness, inertia, and good insulation, while also having advantages in its energy production and consumption system. For ventilation, a Provence well naturally ventilates the sanitary facilities, and a double-flow ventilation system equipped with an insulation module serves the large rooms. For heating and cooling, the leisure center uses geothermal energy combined with a water/water heat pump. This reversible summer-winter system provides economical heating and cooling to each space via the floor. All technical equipment is carefully integrated into the building: vents are well placed, pipes are concealed in the ceilings, manifolds are integrated into the furniture, and the roof leaves space reserved for the installation of photovoltaic panels.
