The Ghaf Woods community, pioneered by a regional lifestyle leader and renowned UAE developer, weaves nature into the fabric of daily life, redefining the paradigm of human habitat in the desert city. As the core of the community, the Ghaf Woods Experience Centre is an immersive, future-oriented destination designed to attract, educate, and inspire the next wave of living experiences. Led by the Chinese architectural design firm aoe architects, with detailed design by STUDIOI in Dubai, this project marks a significant milestone: it is aoe's first project realized overseas, making them the first local Chinese architectural design company to complete a project in Dubai. This breakthrough signifies a crucial step in aoe architects' international expansion journey in Dubai.

Situated adjacent to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and near Dubai's famous cultural, entertainment, and shopping destination, Global Village, the Experience Centre leverages the convenience of a transportation hub while fostering a tranquil, natural dwelling. Through a design featuring progressive spatial sequences, the architecture skillfully isolates the urban clamor, unfolding a meticulously arranged journey of exploration that immerses every visitor in the philosophy of "coexisting with nature."
体验中心毗邻谢赫·穆罕默德·本·扎耶德高速公路，紧靠迪拜著名文化、娱乐、购物胜地“地球村”，依托交通枢纽的便利，同时营造出静谧的自然栖居。通过递进式的空间序列设计，建筑巧妙地隔绝了城市喧嚣，以一场精心布局的探索旅程徐徐展开，让每位访客都沉浸于“与自然共生”的生活哲学之中。

As the gateway to the Ghaf Woods community, the Experience Centre interprets the vision of sustainable living through multiple layers. Inspired by desert topography, the building's form naturally rises from the earth like sand dunes, dynamic and vibrant. The overall site planning path mimics meandering streams within a forest, beginning the visitor's exploration with a walk through the woods; once vehicles are parked, the journey integrating narrative, innovation, and placemaking formally commences.
作为进入 Ghaf Woods 社区的门户，体验中心以多层次的方式诠释了社区可持续生活的愿景。设计灵感源自沙漠地貌，建筑形态如沙丘般从大地自然隆起，动态而富有生命力。场地整体规划路径仿若林间蜿蜒的溪流，访客的探索从穿行森林开始，车辆停驻后，一场融合叙事、创新与场所营造的旅程正式展开。

Visitors are immersed in a series of experiences: from the light-and-shadow interwoven "Tunnel of Light" to the curated display of architectural materials, and the visualization of future residences and landscapes through virtual reality technology, every detail establishes a connection between vision and reality.
访客将沉浸于一系列的体验：从光影交织的“光之隧道”，到精心策划的建筑材料展示，再到通过虚拟现实技术呈现未来住宅与景观，每一处细节都在愿景与现实之间建立连接。

Along the outdoor path, visitors traverse a series of landscape nodes connected by an open-air amphitheater, outdoor activity plaza, forest garden, and mirror lake, offering spaces for contemplation and social interaction. These elements are carefully arranged like gems scattered in the forest, awaiting discovery, enriching the spatial layering and deepening the lifestyle where nature and architecture are intimately intertwined.
沿着户外路径，访客穿梭于由露天剧场、户外活动广场、森林花园与镜湖等串联起来的一系列的景观节点，为访客提供驻足沉思与社交互动的空间。这些元素经过精心布置，犹如洒落在林间的宝石，等待着访客的探索与发现，同时它们丰富了空间的层次感，亦深化了场所中自然与建筑紧密交织的生活方式。

The main building, with its dune-like contours, undulates in harmony with the surrounding landscape layout, appearing as an uninterrupted extension of nature. Its stepped façade, constructed from GRC (Glass Fibre Reinforced Concrete), wraps the structure in a fluid rhythm, forming a unique architectural image. The full-height glass curtain wall on the south side draws the landscape pool and forest greenery indoors, dissolving the boundary between interior and exterior to create a tranquil, immersive atmosphere that reconnects visitors intimately with nature.
主体建筑以沙丘形态顺应地形蜿蜒起伏，与周围景观布局相融合，仿佛是大自然中连绵不断的延续。其 GRC 材质阶梯式外立面以流动的韵律包裹结构，围合成独特的建筑形象。南侧通高玻璃幕墙将景观水池与森林绿意引入室内，消弭内外界限，营造出静谧的沉浸氛围，令人重拾与自然的亲密联结。

The interior spaces merge technology, narrative, and community vision. A high-precision 3D sand table clearly illustrates the Ghaf Woods community plan, green infrastructure, and sustainable design highlights; the material sample area allows visitors to explore the selected materials forming the future homes; meanwhile, the virtual reality multimedia exhibition hall enables visitors to experience future residential units, landscapes, and public spaces firsthand, each meticulously presented, truly achieving a seamless transition from imagination to experience. The VIP lounge and office areas are located on the quieter north side, facing a private courtyard, offering visitors and staff a comfortable yet private connection to nature.
Every aspect of the building responds to the specific climatic conditions of the Middle East: the cantilevered eaves design optimizes façade shading performance, effectively reducing the building's thermal load and improving energy efficiency; the mirror lake water feature on the south side creates a beautiful environment while forming a microclimate regulation system for passive cooling; the surrounding forest ecosystem utilizes native and adaptive plant species, significantly lowering the ambient temperature of the entire community below that of the surrounding desert areas, demonstrating the positive impact of ecological design on urban livability.
内部空间将科技、叙事与社区愿景相结合。高精度 3D 沙盘清晰展现 Ghaf Woods 社区的规划、绿色基础设施与可持续设计亮点；材料样品区让访客了解到构成未来家园的精选材料；同时，虚拟现实多媒体展厅则让访客身临其境般探索未来的住宅单元、景观与公共空间，每一处都被细腻呈现，真正实现了从想象到体验的无缝衔接。贵宾休息室和办公区位于较安静的北侧，面向私密庭院，为访客与员工提供舒适与私密兼具的自然连接。

建筑的方方面面都回应了中东特殊的气候条件:通过悬挑式屋檐设计优化立面遮阳性能，有效降低建筑热负荷，提升能源利用效率；南侧镜湖水景在创造优美环境的同时形成微气候调节系统，起到被动降温的作用；周围的森林生态系统采用本土与适生植物，使整个社区的环境温度显著低于周边沙漠地区，证明了生态设计对城市宜居性的提升。

Through these green building design strategies, the Ghaf Woods Experience Centre serves as a model for environmentally responsive architecture and climate-adaptive urbanism in the Middle East. It is not just a storyteller but an active demonstration of how future communities can balance resilience, aesthetics, and ecological intelligence. Importantly, the building’s open spatial layout reserves unlimited possibilities for future functional conversion, allowing the space to evolve with the community's growth—flexibly transforming into a cultural venue, educational center, or community hub to ensure long-term adaptability and value creation. The Ghaf Woods Experience Centre is more than just an architectural project; it represents a paradigm shift towards biophilic design, low-carbon living, and community-first sustainability.
