The High Performance Medical Device Innovation Center (IHM Innovation Center) in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, designed by Haiyin Architecture, is located on the thriving International Bio Island in Guangzhou. The IHM Innovation Center Bio Island R&D Center is equipped with research laboratories, communication and interaction spaces, and office collaboration spaces, dedicated to the innovative research and development of high-performance medical devices. The design of Haiyin Architecture weaves multiple functions into an X-shaped plane, maximizing the use of the plot: the two wings of the "X" are used to layout the laboratory or office space, while the intersection is used as a public space. The column grid is denser on the laboratory wing, while the wing in the office space is wider.
海茵建筑担当设计的粤港澳大湾区高性能医疗器械创新中心（IHM 创新中心）位于广州蓬勃发展的国际生物岛。IHM 创新中心生物岛研发中心内设置有科研实验室、交流互动空间、办公协同空间，致力于高性能医疗器械创新研发。海茵建筑的设计将多种功能编织在一个 X 形平面中，从而最大化利用了地块：“X”的两个翼板分别用于布局实验室或办公空间，而交叉点则用作公共空间。柱网在实验室翼板更密集，而在办公空间的翼板则更开阔。

The flat layout introduces natural light into the core area of the building, and each wing space has high-quality landscapes from multiple angles. The X-shaped inner concave corner is designed as a curved surface, contrasting with the flat and square outer contour, and creating dynamic line combinations along the facade for a better visual experience. The IHM Innovation Center consists of three floating blocks separated by multiple terraces that serve as sky gardens. The double height terrace space creates interesting changes in the conversion between blocks. The bottom block accommodates public functions, including a hall, exhibition hall, demonstration laboratory, and coffee shop; The intermediate block includes laboratories, conference rooms, multifunctional halls, etc; The top is the office area.
