From the architect. In January 2024, DREAM AGENCY opened the Lozez Segan Work Assistance Agency and Service Center (East Zone) in Villeneuve. This project is based on social and solidarity, covering an area of 3570 square meters and providing various services to over 150 disabled people in a comfortable, bright, and suitable environment.

This project is part of the New Urban Renewal Plan (NPNRU) led by the Public Institutions of the Greater Orly Senna Biyev Region (EPT) and the city of Villeneuve. It is located in the urban policy priority zone and contributes to the urban redevelopment of the northern part of the Lozez region. The Lozetz Segan Work Assistance Agency and Service Center (ESAT) is located within a local species park, preserving century old trees to embellish the landscape. It includes multiple creative and styling studios, self-service restaurants, logistics areas, and offices. It demonstrates the method adopted by DREAM organization in civilian areas, which uses wood in structure and materials while minimizing the use of concrete.

In order to meet the needs of special populations, architectural design emphasizes the ergonomics of space to promote mental health. Therefore, the layout of the workshop does not have corridors, emphasizes the influx of natural light and transparency, and maximizes the selection of exposed wood. The production center and its workshops are the nerve center of ESAT, providing a landmark building with distinct contours and natural materials, located at the center of the community. The workshop is a multifunctional, open, and constantly evolving space designed with an adjustable ceiling height that can be developed and adjusted as needed. They are bathed in natural light. In order to address the challenges of health and comfort, the design team pays special attention to the acoustic effects of the project, as the impact of acoustics on psychological and physiological aspects is often underestimated.

The interior of the project is coated with wood fiber to provide visual and aesthetic comfort, as well as thermal and acoustic comfort. The sloping roof design allows light to enter each workshop. In addition to the reassuring warmth brought by the ubiquitous wood, this unique architectural treatment also provides ESAT with a comfortable and bright workspace, while avoiding the problem of overheating in summer. On the other hand, the design team has set up a hybrid shading area in the logistics space for users to easily move and meet. The feedback from users on wood is consistent: it is beneficial for enhancing happiness.
