From the architect. KANEKA Health Center is both a welfare facility and a medical facility of Kaneka Corporation. Kaneka Company adheres to the corporate policy of "health first" and attaches great importance to the reform of employees' work methods and healthcare. This facility provides medical services and regular check ups for Kaneka employees, and will host various activities to enhance their health awareness. In its construction plan, Dacheng Construction provided design and adopted various environmental technologies developed by Kaneka under the supervision of Kengo Kuma Architectural Urban Design Firm.

The construction site is located in a barren thicket adjacent to the Kaneka production base. The design goal is to build a building surrounded by green trees and preserve as many existing trees as possible. After 3D scanning existing trees to create data and determine their location, trees (mainly invasive species) were cut down to preserve species suitable for the area. The polyhedral roof extending from the ground covers the building, integrating it with the forest.
该建筑工地位于与 Kaneka 生产基地毗邻的一片荒芜的灌木丛中。设计目标是建造绿树环绕的建筑，尽可能多地保留现有树木。在对现有树木进行 3D 扫描以创建数据从而确定其位置后，砍伐了树木（主要是外来入侵树种），以保留适合该地区的树种。从地面延伸的多面体屋顶覆盖着建筑，使建筑与森林融为一体。

Tile integrated solar cells, transparent solar cells, and green roofs are integrated with polyhedral roofs, attaching different environmental protection technologies to different sides of the roof and giving it different forms of expression. The building adopts multiple environmental protection technologies from Kaneka. For example, in these medium-sized buildings, Kaneka's wooden exterior insulation and dual ventilation method developed for standalone residences were adopted, and a system was installed to change the ventilation path based on outdoor temperature.

In addition, the deep eaves and excellent insulation performance also contribute to achieving Net ZEB with zero energy balance. After completion, the facility will be used for activities such as cooking classes and sports events to raise health awareness, as well as a leisure space to help employees recover from fatigue. The facility has obtained IWBI's WELL Platinum certification for its health conscious features and design, such as the use of a large amount of wooden materials indoors and the view of abundant green plants through the windows.
