The project site is located in Hashima City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan, surrounded by peaceful rice paddy countryside scenery. When we first visited, the scene of rice ears swaying in the wind blowing down from the nearby mountains left a deep impression on us.
该项目场地坐落于日本岐阜县羽岛市（Hashima City, Gifu Prefecture），四周环绕着宁静的稻田乡村风光。初次到访时，从附近山间吹落的风中，稻穗摇曳的景象给我们留下了深刻印象。

This project is commissioned to design a new headquarters for a company engaged in civil engineering and real estate business. The client hopes to create a building that is deeply rooted in the community and can be appreciated for a long time. During the design process, we gradually became convinced that the essence of this project lies in exploring the hidden value in the "daily landscape" around the site.
本项目受委托为一间从事土木工程与房地产业务的公司设计新总部。客户希望打造一座深深扎根于社区、并能长久受到赞赏的建筑。在设计过程中，我们逐渐坚信，本项目的精髓在于挖掘场地周边“日常景观”中潜藏的价值。

The trajectory of the sun changing in the four seasons, the swaying rice ears and plants in the wind, or the ripples on the water surface of rice paddies in the rain - these ordinary scenes contain the beauty of tranquility. We believe that creating opportunities for people to notice these beauties is the most appropriate role positioning when creating a new office space for a company closely connected to land and civil engineering. Our intention is not simply to integrate architecture into the environment, but to design an architectural 'installation' that makes people more aware of these values through its existence.
太阳在四季中变换的轨迹、风中摇曳的稻穗与草木、或是雨中稻田水面泛起的涟漪 —— 这些平凡的景象蕴含着静谧之美。我们认为，为一家与土地和土木工程紧密相连的公司打造新办公场所时，创造让人们留意到这些美的机会，是最为恰当的角色定位。我们的意图并非简单地将建筑融入环境，而是设计一个建筑“装置”，通过其存在让人们更加意识到这些价值。

The roof is the most distinctive feature of the building. It rises sharply to the east, outlining a bold silhouette in the sky, while the eaves hang low close to the ground. The soft undulations of the roof lines introduce subtle irregularities, highlighting the reflected light, the color of the sky, and the dynamics of raindrops - focusing on natural phenomena and enhancing the charm of the surrounding environment.
屋顶是该建筑最鲜明的特色。它向东急剧升起，在天空中勾勒出大胆的轮廓，而屋檐则低垂至接近地面。屋顶线条的柔和起伏引入了微妙的不规则性，凸显了反射的光线、天空的色彩以及雨滴的动态 —— 将自然现象聚焦并增强了周边环境的魅力。

The internal spatial layout aims to complement the external landscape. Under the elevated roof, a tall space accommodates the entrance and conference room, naturally bringing the outside world into the interior. The courtyard and terrace are set under the undulating roof, creating a transitional space between indoors and outdoors. The entire building and site are decorated with small corners and resting areas, incorporating stones and green plants into the interior, allowing for a sense of continuity with nature even when indoors.
内部空间布局旨在与外部景观相呼应。在抬高的屋顶下，一个高挑的空间容纳了入口和会议室，自然地将外界引入室内。庭院和露台被设置在起伏的屋顶之下，创造了介于室内外的过渡空间。整个建筑和场地内布置了小巧的边角和休憩之处，将石块和绿植融入室内，即便身处室内也能感受到与自然的连续感。

This environment supports various activities - meetings, breaks, or simply keeping an eye on seasonal changes. On the south side, a large opening is combined with low hanging eaves to control sunlight while maintaining an intimate relationship with the garden. Natural elements such as wind and light are gently introduced into the space.
这种环境支持着各种活动 —— 会议、休息，或是简单地留意季节的变迁。南侧，大型开口与低垂的屋檐相结合，在控制阳光的同时，与花园保持着亲密的关系。风、光等自然元素被柔和地引入空间。

Through this architectural 'installation', we hope to create moments that make people aware of the beauty of the landscape, allowing residents and visitors to take away a memory of the 'new daily scenery' rooted in this land.
通过这个建筑“装置”，我们希望创造出让人们意识到景观之美的瞬间，让居民和访客都能带走一份根植于这片土地的“全新日常风景”的记忆。
