From the architect. 360 N Green Street is Chicago's newest Grade A office building and the first one built specifically for professional service companies in the rapidly growing Fulton Market community, located outside their traditional territory of Loop. This building is located at the northern end of Green Street, at the end of the city's most sought after real estate corridor, surrounded by vibrant hotel, restaurant, and retail areas in the West Loop district.

360 N Green Street was developed by Sterling Bay and designed jointly by Gensler and Sterling Bay Design Studio. This 500000 square foot, 24 story building offers modern office space, Adalina restaurant concept, and a range of facilities aimed at attracting top companies from various industries and talent. Fulton Market has a long history, retaining the traditional style of Chicago in the early 20th century while coordinating the new buildings with the warehouses in the former meat processing area. The revival of the region is driven by this style, and so far, the interior layout has been adjusted according to the needs of technology and creative economy.

360 N Green Street has targeted the expansion of this aesthetic style with its simple and modern appearance and forward-looking vision for the overall workplace. This building combines the functional supremacy principle of early modernist architecture with Chicago's high-rise building tradition and structural expressionism, and its customized and efficient geometric shapes reflect its design intent. Among the constantly developing high-rise buildings and iconic low rise buildings in Xilupu District, 360 N Green Street stands out for its uniqueness. The symmetrical tower of the building showcases practicality, authenticity, and the reliable materials that shape the city: steel and glass.

The design concept of 360 N Green Street stems from a profound understanding of the rapidly evolving framework of modern professional service companies. The flexible and efficient floor design of this building facilitates various layouts, including private spaces dedicated to work, as well as areas for collaboration, guidance, and communication. The twin tower structure of the building utilizes balconies on both sides of the floor plan, introducing ample natural light and featuring numerous column free interior spaces. Above the lobby and parking levels, stacked facility floors provide tenants with indoor and outdoor meeting, personal work, and leisure spaces. The exposed structural details and visible craftsmanship elements that continue from the ground level are similar to the structural expressionism of building shells. The distinctive staircase connects the two floors and features eye-catching steps and bold V-shaped steel supports, echoing the exterior of the building.

The building also adopts efficient mechanical systems, state-of-the-art elevators, and high-performance building envelope structures, adding a new building that emphasizes health and sustainable development to the Xilupu district. Each floor of the office area is equipped with two terraces, which promote health through light, air, and open space. Currently, 360 N Green Street is applying for LEED Silver certification. In the fundamentally changing post pandemic world, 360 N Green Street showcases research on how to leverage the symbiotic relationship between architectural forms and users' physical, social, and mental health to drive innovative ways of working, attract and retain talent, and encourage people to return to the office.
