Abandoning old conventions, opening up new paths in architecture, adhering to the concept of circulation, and designing solutions that create added value for the public, community, and environment - this has been the goal of The Cradle office building's design team from beginning to end. This office building is located in the diverse urban layout of the Dusseldorf Media Port area and has developed an independent architectural language.

All key building components, except for the basement, ground floor, and core tube, are constructed using wood. The unique diamond shaped facade is carefully designed according to the site conditions and depth changes, serving multiple functions: it is not only an external load-bearing structure, but also provides support and shading functions, forming a terrace and framing the surrounding scenery. The different depths and orientations of the V-shaped columns create an exciting interactive effect between open and closed spaces, combined with the glass panels that act as prisms, allowing the building to present rich changes from different perspectives and at different times of the day.

According to the principle of detachable design, the construction is carried out using plug-in and screw connection methods; Consciously deciding not to use cladding; Wooden construction companies bear the obligation of wood recycling; And the green lease terms in the lease agreement regarding the use of cradle to cradle certified furniture and interior decoration ensure the consistent implementation of the circular concept.
