The residence is built on a natural slope and is located in a residential settlement along Biordo Vecchio Street, facing the public road. After passing through the entrance gate, the house quietly appears, dominated by the original stone facade, which not only continues the historical texture of the building, but also ensures the privacy of the indoor space. There are only three small windows on the stone, brick, and masonry walls, which maintain the intimate atmosphere of the home space and introduce just the right amount of natural light into the interior. The surrounding vegetation forms the natural background, enhancing the overall tranquility and sense of seclusion. Only when approaching the southeast corner, the relationship between architectural space and landscape gradually unfolds, revealing an open attitude from the inside out and establishing a new dialogue with the environment.

Plan

The project retains traditional proportions and construction features, with a focus on expanding the south colonnade. The newly added double layered high glass volume is not only an expression of architectural language, but also an active spatial strategy that redefines the relationship between residential and landscape, achieving a transition from inward consolidation to outward extension. This newly added colonnade forms a fan-shaped opening, framing the natural scenery and directing the view into the valley. The living space is thus transformed into a bright and transparent place, breathing in sync with the hills, achieving a continuous dialogue between indoor and outdoor, residence and landscape.

The interior space is warm and bright, and is mainly made of natural and textured materials: oak and travertine flooring, light color plastering finish and exposed wooden beams, which together convey a deep connection with tradition. The wide opening allows natural light to flow indoors, creating a soft atmosphere that accompanies the unfolding of daily life. The new colonnade becomes a 'living frame', bringing the tranquility of the hills into the interior.

The spatial layout follows a clear and reasonable logic: the living space on the ground floor is like a complete flowing volume, maintaining visual continuity with the outdoors; The bedroom upstairs maintains a more private and quiet atmosphere.

On the exterior of the building, the exposed stone walls and double pitched roof echo the traditional architectural language of the area. The natural and understated colors blend the residence with the surrounding environment, achieving a balance between tradition and modernity.

In the end, the Biodor Residence became a warm and orderly residence, not only reshaping the dignity of the original building, but also interweaving and integrating with the tranquil beauty of the Asolo Hills and the daily lives of residents.
