空间布局与功能组织的精妙：项目的空间布局体现出极高的功能性和设计智慧。三层垂直空间的划分，巧妙地利用了地形，为居住者提供了丰富的空间体验。厨房作为核心，连接起居、用餐、游戏等多种功能空间，并通过多条楼梯串联，创造了流畅的动线和丰富的视觉层次。四个露台的设计更是锦上添花，将室内空间向外延伸，让居住者能够充分地融入自然，享受360度的全景视野。这种内外空间的互动，以及对居住者生活方式的深刻洞察，使得建筑不仅仅是一个居所，更是一个体验和享受生活的场所。

可持续设计的典范与环境的和谐共生：该项目在可持续设计方面树立了典范。通过被动式策略、热绝缘、遮阳和自然通风等手段，有效降低了能源需求。同时，太阳能板、太阳能热水器及灰水回收系统的应用，进一步提升了房屋的环境性能。值得称赞的是，项目在选址时，充分考虑了日照朝向和景观视野的平衡，并做到了在施工过程中未砍伐任何树木，体现了对自然环境的尊重。这些细节都表明了设计者对环境友好的承诺，以及建筑与环境和谐共生的设计理念，使其成为一个具有深远意义的生态友好型建筑。

From the architect. The Brutal Honesty project is rooted in direct expression and primal authenticity. The earth brown retaining wall rises from the ground like abstract rocks, outlining three levels of terraces and forming internal partitions that echo the terrain. These elements not only organize the indoor space, but also reflect the way the house is used, interpreting the narrative chapter jointly shaped by the occupants.

On a gray highland, the building structure opens its arms and offers a 360 degree panoramic view of the Andes desert mountains and the oasis below. Houses become geological extensions of mountain slopes, establishing a profound connection with their environment.

The project is located in Pedemonte, Mendoza, Mendoza Province, Argentina, and the site selection needs to seek a balance between sunlight orientation and panoramic view. In the southern hemisphere, heading north provides the best lighting, while heading south offers the most magnificent scenery. The house seamlessly integrates with the existing slope and native vegetation; No trees were cut down during the construction period.
项目坐落于阿根廷门多萨省佩德蒙特（Pedemonte, Mendoza），选址需在日照朝向与全景视野间寻求平衡。在南半球，北向可获最佳采光，而南向则坐拥最壮丽的景观。房屋与现有坡地及原生植被完美融合；施工期间未砍伐任何树木。

From the perspective of functional layout, the house unfolds vertically in three levels: underground (situated in the ground), first level (between the ground), and second level (standing on top of the ground). The kitchen is located in the core, surrounded by public spaces and connected by three staircases, providing different paths and spatial experiences. Four terraces extend outward into the house space: the main terrace extends the living and dining areas into the landscape; The adjacent barbecue area can accommodate large gatherings; The third terrace connected to the game room provides semi independent activity space for children; The rooftop elevated area is equipped with a yoga area, fireplace, massage bathtub, and garden, with a framed view of the surroundings, inviting people to enjoy quiet time.
从功能布局来看，房屋以三层垂直感知展开：地下（置身大地之中）、一层（介于大地之间）、二层（立于大地之上）。厨房位于核心，被公共空间环绕，并通过三座楼梯相连，提供不同路径与空间体验。四座露台向外延伸房屋空间：主露台将起居与用餐区域延伸至景观之中；相邻的烧烤区可容纳大型聚会；与游戏室相连的第三露台，为孩子们提供了半独立的活动空间；而屋顶高地则设有瑜伽区、壁炉、按摩浴缸及花园，框景四周，邀人静享时光。

The facade facing the canyon is defined by a soil toned concrete wall, which limits the volume of the house and shields it from the south facing sun. The architecture appears to grow naturally from the hills. The use of exposed concrete in the project is not only due to its resonance with local materials, but also benefited from close collaboration with regional construction parties; Through on-site testing, fine color adjustment is carried out to perfectly match the color tone of the earth. This extreme focus on materials has rooted the house in visual and symbolic aspects.
面向峡谷的立面，土色调混凝土墙界定了房屋的体量，并为其遮挡南向日晒。建筑看似从山丘中自然生长而出。项目选用暴露混凝土，既因其与当地材料的共鸣，亦得益于与区域施工方的紧密协作；通过现场试验精细调色，使其与大地色调完美匹配。这种对材质的极致关注，从视觉与象征层面将房屋扎根于此。

Sustainability is the core of design. Passive strategies, thermal insulation, shading, and natural ventilation collectively reduce energy demand; Solar panels, solar water heaters, and grey water recycling systems further enhance the environmental performance of the house.

Their needs emphasize landscape views, vegetation protection, and the concept of coexisting with the land rather than just residing on it. Essentially, OF. Rough Mountain Residence is a physical extension of the mountain range, a living space that is neither hidden nor decorated, but rather engages in an open dialogue with the environment. It reflects the utmost respect for nature through sincere and solid architectural language.
