Snøhetta

This garden, covering an area of 21300 square feet (approximately 1979 square meters), is built around a tranquil water feature and divided into five major areas based on five different central landscape structures. Its area is almost twice that of the previous public space in the same location. The garden has its own unique features, with three major areas: "highland", "lowland", and "shelter". Each area is set against lush trees and set off by dense shrubs. Its design inspiration comes from the vegetation style of the northeastern mountainous areas of the United States - from delicate, delicate, and graceful branches and leaves to dense and lush tree crowns. In the shrub layer of the garden, alpine rhododendrons, smooth hydrangeas, and bottle brush wood beetles are scattered in a staggered manner; The tree species include sandalwood, Sweetbay Magnolia, and river birch. The flower beds are planted with a rich variety of native species, ranging from lilies of the valley, geraniums, and black coquets, to coral bells and sword ferns. In addition to Sn ø hetta, there is also a team of top landscape and gardening companies involved in the garden design, including Phyto, The Dirt Company, SiteWorks, Arup, and Adamson Associates Architects.

This 41 story, 850000 square foot (approximately 79000 square meter) building at 550 Madison Avenue was once the single tenant headquarters of AT&T when it was completed in 1984. Nowadays, the new garden of this building is one of the results of Olayan Group's six-year reimagining of this youngest iconic historic building in New York City - the renovation project incorporates health and wellness plans, sustainable development initiatives, and adds over 30000 square feet (approximately 2787 square meters) of high-end supporting facilities. In addition to the garden, the upgrade and renovation of the building also includes a club level leisure space designed by Rockwell Group, aimed at promoting collaboration, communication, and creativity. This space is equipped with exclusive concierge services, managing areas such as the lobby, library, fireplace lounge, screening room, and swimming pool hall. In addition, the club level also has multiple dining venues and dedicated kitchens for events.

The top-notch fitness center located at 550 Madison Avenue boasts facilities that surpass many luxurious private health and fitness clubs, offering spacious and elegant spaces for health classes and fitness training. The lobby, newly designed by Gensler, creates a magnificent experience like a church - sunlight pours in through the space, and the bronze mesh material, rust red leather, and gray white terrazzo floor complement each other. A 65 foot (about 20 meters) arched glass window brings bright sunlight into the room, illuminating the central artwork "Solid Sky" created by artist Alicja Kwade. This 24 ton, 1.2 billion year old spherical device is made of Azul do Macaubas quartzite sourced from Brazil and suspended by chains in a three story elevated space beneath the dome at 550 Madison Avenue.
