At the westernmost tip of Jeju Island, located in a peaceful village called Dumori in front of Hengfeng, on a pentagonal plot bathed in soft sunlight at the top of a strange hill, stands the OHyeongJae villa. OHyeongJae Villa aims to create a truly relaxing space and won a major award at the 2021 Jeju Architecture Culture Festival. The name combines the Korean words "five," "form," and "courtyard," symbolizing a new type of accommodation facility consisting of five pool villas.

The project was conceived with deep consideration on how to seamlessly integrate Jeju Island's blue sky, basalt rock walls, and man-made buildings into the surrounding landscape. The villa features sloping and connected roof lines inspired by the natural horizon, and is made of heat-resistant and pollution resistant zinc material. The interior actively incorporates the colors of Jeju Island, using bright orange bricks, sofas, and a red swimming pool.

This pentagonal plot symbolizes the combination of earth and mountains, material and spiritual, balance and harmony in nature, as well as the fundamental principles that govern the world. The process of building stone walls and creating the "Five Forms of Separation" (which may refer to an architectural layout or design concept) on this land aims to share the profound sense of tranquility initially felt with as many people as possible.

OHyeongJae Villa is located in the peaceful pine trees and rocks of the western part of Jeju Island, with great respect for the original landscape in its design. Within an area of approximately 4300 square meters, minimal construction was carried out, and the architectural form combines traditional aesthetics of Jeju Island with modern emotions. The design that uses natural materials and captures the scenery of Jeju Island injects harmony, tranquility, and warmth into the space. Five swimming pool villas are connected under the same roof and open to the sea. Despite their similar size and structure, each villa provides a unique spatial experience due to the dynamic interaction of its sloping roof.
