The project is located in Ikebukuro, which is known as the City of Drama and aspires to become an international city of art and culture. It is located at the junction of the city center (including Sunshine City) and the southern low rise residential area. In order to preserve the unique academic atmosphere of the university campus and integrate the lush and open atmosphere of the adjacent disaster prevention park (IKE · SUNPARK), we have created a stage style campus design with the second floor as the student base.

The international platform located on the second floor can be accessed through four outdoor staircases, and its volume design features pillars on one side of the park, forming a large open square within the campus. As the volume of high-rise buildings gradually recedes from the park, rooftop gardens and student lounges are set up at transition points. The exterior of the building is made of white granite veneer polycarbonate (PC) panels, presenting a solemn, durable, and beautiful appearance.

At the same time, its exquisite detail design and suspended volume composition create a lightweight impression. The bottom edge of the lower eaves is made of customized silver aluminum plates, which complement the reflection of students and the beautiful shade of trees in the park. Through this approach, students' vivid interactions and activities in various locations on campus turn the entire campus into a stage, creating a special place that is strongly interconnected with parks and communities. With the advancement of development and urbanization processes around the world, more and more places are losing their unique atmosphere. The increasingly diverse values are accelerating the disappearance of unique features in public places. We believe that instead of simply providing borderless, homogeneous spaces or lively spaces that everyone can freely enjoy, it is better to create places like holy sites that can give people a sense of closure and awe, allowing them to come into contact with the wisdom of their predecessors and accumulate buildings with this extraordinary power, which will make future cities more vibrant.
