The renovation project involves the restoration of two houses built in the late 19th century in the old town of Sarri à, and different degrees of renovation measures have been taken for each house. Although the exterior facade of the building is protected, over time, the interior of the house has undergone significant changes, with the majority of the original decorative and covering layers removed.

The first phase of the renovation project involves removing all elements that lack value and highlighting the original features of the building. In places where there are no historical traces left, the added components have been dismantled, revealing the original structure. The traces of transformation from different periods can be revealed: the original brick arch, the later added steel supports, the types of bricks used in each transformation, and the cast iron colonnade. This plan aims to minimize interference with load-bearing walls and adapt the new layout to existing openings.

This layout consists of two duplex residences connected by a public staircase. The living area of the residence is located on the lower level, while the sleeping area is located on the upper level. The main rooms are arranged on one side of the exterior facade, while the internal space is reserved for damp areas such as the kitchen and bathroom. The renovation also includes adding insulation layer by lining high-density gypsum board and cement board, which helps maintain the thermal storage performance of the original building.

The new core area is decorated with oak veneer panels. The ground is laid with continuous terrazzo, and the terrazzo floor is compatible with the underfloor heating system. The headboard and other furniture elements are also finished with oak material.

The living room and dining room share the south facade. Except for the historic ceiling with gypsum decorative lines, the walls have not been covered in any way. The rectangular beams on the upper level were designed to accommodate the existence of some old attics, which were later transformed into living spaces.
