We have designed a new residential building for a family of four. Their demand is that this residence can bring surprises in both spatial layout and user experience, while the lighting and material matching should also be just right. This residence needs to create a suitable environment to provide a 'blank canvas' for the owner's hobby of collecting art and design items.
我们为一个四口之家设计了一座新住宅。他们的诉求是：希望这座住宅在空间布局和使用体验上都能带来惊喜，同时照明与材质的搭配也要恰到好处。这座住宅需要营造一个适宜的环境，为业主收藏艺术品和设计品的爱好提供一片“空白画布”。

These requirements are transformed into a geometric plane layout consisting of a series of square grid spaces arranged at a 45 degree angle. Each room is assigned different functions and can be accessed through connecting spaces. In this way, there will be no waste of available space due to traffic flow areas, allowing us to explore the house room by room. At the core of the building, we have set up a courtyard. This allows natural light to penetrate deep into the room. In addition, the courtyard creates a pleasant landscape that runs through the entire house. The entire residence is composed of 13 rooms, resembling a collage.

The decoration details of this house have attracted much attention. In multiple rooms, the structural components remain in their original appearance and are clearly visible. For example, the construction party decides to apply a layer of paint on the completed brick wall instead of plastering it. This construction step requires special attention in the early stages of the project in order to prepare for subsequent electrical engineering operations. The load-bearing structure of the roof has been deliberately preserved and designed with a staggered height, showcasing the beauty of the structure while cleverly hiding the details of the construction process. The final result is that the indoor space is tall and creates a spacious and transparent living atmosphere.
这座房屋的装修细节处理备受关注。在多个房间内，结构构件均保持原貌、清晰可见。例如，施工方决定在砌好的砖墙上涂刷一层漆，而非进行抹灰处理。这一施工步骤在工程初期就需要特别留意，以便为后续的电气工程作业做好准备。屋顶的承重结构被特意保留且在高度上做了错落有致的设计，在展现结构之美的同时，又巧妙地隐藏了施工工艺细节。最终呈现的效果是：室内空间高挑，营造出宽敞通透的居住氛围。

The color scheme of this residence is simple and elegant. This is a deliberate choice aimed at attracting attention to various artworks and ornaments. Whether indoors or outdoors, the house seems to be situated on a rectangular platform - the flooring is made of the same material. This design enhances the overall coordination between the house, terrace, and garden. The same rectangular elements are also reflected in the carefully designed eaves, which cover each room like a "canopy". The final presentation is a unique residential building with a simple yet ingenious layout, tailored to meet the living habits and daily needs of residents.
