325 kent — located at the 11-acre domino sugar factory site on the williamsburg waterfront — is now complete, and new images provide a never-before-seen look at the development. designed by SHoP architects, the building stands at 16 stories tall and features a striking silhouette that steps up incrementally. 522 apartments are arranged around a dramatic opening above an elevated courtyard, which offers views of the adjacent park, the east river, and the new york city skyline.
developed by two trees management, 325 kent intends to visually connect with the surrounding low-rise neighborhood, the landmarked refinery building, and the taller waterfront buildings slated for future construction. SHoP architects designed the site with an architectural opening crowned by a three-story bridge — a link which hosts the building’s main amenities. 325 kent features a copper façade on lower floors and zinc on upper levels, perforated and patterned to create luminous interior spaces. meanwhile, the building’s roofdeck and courtyard have been designed by leeser architecture and were built by blondie’s treehouse.
