The Wilderness Botanical Garden is a space about nature and wilderness, aimed at showcasing and protecting various native plants, while providing a workshop and educational venue for harmonious coexistence with nature. The design inspiration comes from the beauty of the primitive scenery surrounding Jinshanling, where the site is located, and the wildness of the natural environment, emphasizing a simple and low-key aesthetic.

Architecture and interiors need to blend seamlessly with the surrounding natural and artificial environment. The original north entrance to the interior has been moved to one side of the building courtyard, and a simple concrete walkway leads people from the park road to the courtyard wrapped in boulders and plants, passing through glass doors to enter the indoor space.

The exhibition hall on the first floor is spread around the core courtyard, and the space adopts a U-shaped open layout. The ingenious and voluminous french window allow natural light to enter the room sufficiently, and interact with indoor plants to form a light shadow effect. The second floor space is relatively high, with a large number of windows and skylights providing sufficient lighting. The space is mainly used as a workshop for the Wild Botanical Garden, providing guests with a venue for plant cultivation, natural handicrafts, and other activities, enhancing interaction between humans and nature, and enriching the use of the space.

In terms of design style and material language expression, we strive for simplicity and naturalness, without excessive decoration, highlighting the texture and natural wildness of the materials themselves. The Wilderness Botanical Garden is not only a place for sightseeing and learning, but also a botanical garden that aims to allow people to experience nature, connect with nature, and integrate nature into their lives.

The outdoor interior uses very basic and simple materials to create a quiet atmosphere and a rustic texture. The raw stones used in the landscape are used for paths, boundaries, and decorations, providing a strong and natural feeling. Using concrete in workshops and exhibition areas, it has durability and a simple modern aesthetic, while contrasting with natural elements. In the building structure and furniture, American pine boards and old wood are used to balance the rough feeling of metal and soil, providing a warm and organic texture and enhancing the natural feeling of the space.
