The involvement of art museums is not simply a spatial transformation, but a new urban strategy. It connects with the flow lines of the block and the pedestrian system on the ground through a series of open spaces with blurred boundaries, making the site a part of the city rather than an isolated building. The entrance plaza, sunken courtyard, B131 caf é and other areas form a continuous public space that allows non museum visitors to enter naturally, blurring the boundary between exhibition space and urban life.

Horizontally unfolded trapezoidal roof
The original bicycle ramp on the north side has been transformed into the main entrance of the art museum. After removing the heavy steel frame, a horizontally unfolded trapezoidal roof has been installed, supported by 23 columns arranged in sequence, giving the eaves a light and floating posture.. The colonnade enhances the sense of ceremony upon entering the art museum, giving the entrance a distinctive facade. The main entrance forms a dialogue with the B131 caf é across from it, providing a flexible social space for the exhibition opening.

The abandoned bicycle lane on the south side has been demolished to form an open-air sunken square, which introduces light into the underground space and creates a semi outdoor public square, providing more possibilities for opening parties, performances, forums, rest, and communication. The setting of this space enables the art museum to no longer rely solely on exhibition activities, but to actively intervene and shape the public attributes of the site through architectural strategies.

Order of Exhibition Space
The underground exhibition area adopts a loop shaped flow, including two exhibition spaces, and the area can be flexibly adjusted according to curatorial needs.. Design based on the current situation of the site and streamline spatial order through minimal intervention strategies. Exhibition space is not just a closed 'display box', but a place that can accommodate various events and social activities. The loop shaped movement enhances the continuity of the venue, making the exhibition path more free rather than passively following a single narrative structure. This strategy makes the spatial attributes of the art museum more flexible and consistent with contemporary curatorial methods. The atmosphere of the entire art museum is relaxed and casual, not confined to the seriousness of traditional art museums, but becoming an open, diverse, and youthful art venue.

BRITA 131 Art Space is not only an exhibition space, but also an open space embedded in urban life. Its entrance plaza, sunken courtyard, and B131 caf é together form a continuous spatial sequence, making the museum's existence more relaxed and fluid, rather than closed and self-sufficient. By using restrained architectural language, precise construction methods, and interactive strategies with the urban environment, buildings become both a part of the site and have a positive impact on the surrounding area, finding a subtle balance between architecture and nature, architecture and the city.
