From the architect. The core concept of space design in Likeu Concept Exploration Center originates from in-depth exploration of the formation and characteristics of adolescent personality. Nietzsche believed that adolescence is a critical period for the formation of independent personality and self-awareness, encouraging teenagers to understand themselves and the world through exploration, experience, and questioning. The spatial design of the exploration center is not only a projection of this "ideal personality" trait, but also encourages teenagers to establish a connection between themselves and their environment through multidimensional sensory experiences such as vision and touch, stimulating their curiosity and deep thinking about the relationship between the appearance and essence of things.

The project design emphasizes exploration and speculation, revolving around the binary duality of the world. The abstract and flowing concepts that appear in pairs, such as internal and external, soft and hard, fixed and changing, real and virtual, smooth and angular, restricted and free, are expressed through materials, forms, and structures, and are "solidified" in physical space.
项目设计强调探索与思辨,围绕世界的二元对偶性展开,内与外、柔软与坚硬、固定与变化、实与虚、平滑与棱角、限制与自由等成对出现的、抽象而流动的理念通过材质、形态和结构表现,被“凝固”在物理空间中。

The front and rear ends of the venue space are open to the public, with display windows and entrances/exits, and solid walls on both sides. The enclosed space blocks such as fitting rooms and storage areas grow from the walls on both sides and are wrapped in semi transparent tension film fixed to the walls. When in an open space, you can vaguely feel the volume and edges of the box behind the film. The membrane cloth has also been stretched to form many semi transparent and irregular gray spaces between the "box" and the "box", as well as between the "box" and the wall, which can be used for external display. The soft and ambiguous membrane wrapped around the outer layer contrasts with the hard and clear "core" of the real wall of the room. The contrast between reality and virtuality encourages exploration and reflection on appearance and essence, and also hopes to deepen the understanding of the dialectical relationship between restriction and freedom in the process of individual growth.
场地空间前后两端对外开放,设有橱窗和出入口,两侧则为实墙。试衣间、储物等围合空间体块从两侧的墙面生长出来,被固定于墙面的半透明张拉膜包裹住,身处开放空间时能隐约感受到膜布后盒子的体量和棱角。膜布在“盒子”与“盒子”、“盒子”与墙面间也通过张拉形成了许多半透明、不规则的灰空间,可用于对外展示。外层包裹的膜布柔软而暧昧,与坚硬且明确的“内核”房间实墙形成反差,虚实对比鼓励对表象和实质的探索、思考,也希望加深个体成长过程中对限制和自由这一辩证关系的理解。

In the space, common physical forms and implementation materials are also subjected to "unfamiliarity" treatment. The exhibition walls, booths, and column bases are soft, round, and elegant like fabrics, forming a "misalignment" with their hard fiberglass gypsum material. The muscular texture of the object material on both sides, delicate and rough, also creates a strong contrast, showcasing the complexity and contradictions of the physical world, as well as the possible misalignment of senses and cognition.
空间内也对常见的物理形态和实现材料进行“陌生化”处理,展墙、展台和柱脚仿若织物般柔软、圆润、飘逸的形态与其坚硬的玻纤石膏材质形成“错位”,物体材质一体两面、细腻和粗粝的肌理质感也产生强烈反差,展示出物理世界的复杂性和矛盾性,以及感官和认知可能的错位。

The overall tone of off white color aims to highlight the geometric essence of the object's volume and the rich color of the product; The brand VI color, which is partially embellished in the frame and prop positions, occasionally appears faintly from behind the semi transparent film or from the shape of the prop opening a corner, serving as a "hint" to stimulate curiosity and exploration.

In order to balance the development of internal self-awareness and the psychological and emotional needs of external connections with family and friends during adolescence, the space type of "adolescent fitting room" has been introduced into Likeu Space. Different from the traditional practice of directly connecting the fitting room to the public area, the youth fitting room is equipped with a half height exhibition wall outside to ensure its independence and privacy. A semi private transition space is naturally formed behind the wall, which is convenient for peers and parents to rest and stay, and encourages communication during the youth fitting period.
为平衡青少年阶段对内自我意识的发展及对外与亲人、朋友的连结的心理和情感需求,likeuu空间中引入了“青少年试衣间”这一空间类型。区别于传统试衣间直接与公共区域相连的做法,青少年试衣间外设有半高展墙,保证青少年试衣间独立性和私密性,墙后自然形成半私密的过渡空间,便于同伴、家长休憩停留,鼓励青少年试衣期间的交流。
