设计理念与文化传承: Another Smith 餐厅的设计体现了深刻的文化底蕴与家族传承。项目从业主家族的餐饮事业出发,将家族秘传的鱼类烹饪技艺转化为设计灵感,并通过“鱼鳞”这一视觉元素贯穿始终。标志设计借鉴了传统中式家族印章,红色与蓝色的主色调分别象征吉祥和鱼鳞,巧妙地将文化符号融入到空间之中。这种设计手法不仅赋予了餐厅独特的品牌形象,也让顾客在享受美食的同时,感受到浓厚的文化氛围和家族故事,体现了设计师对文化价值的尊重和传承。

材料运用与本土化策略: 项目对本土材料的巧妙运用是其一大亮点。设计团队与竹建筑专家 Thor Kaichon 合作,大量使用竹材作为主要建筑元素,并研发了独特的竹材蓝染工艺。这种本土化的材料选择,不仅响应了可持续发展的理念,也为餐厅带来了独特的视觉效果。外立面采用自然色与蓝染竹材交错排列,形成引人注目的“鱼鳞”图案,赋予了建筑鲜明的个性。室内空间也巧妙运用蓝染竹材,营造出舒适宜人的氛围,展现了设计师对材料特性和当地环境的深刻理解。

空间布局与功能性设计: 项目在空间布局和功能性设计方面展现了卓越的专业素养。餐厅被划分为餐厅、咖啡馆和珠宝店三个区域,布局灵活,满足了不同时段和功能的需求。厨房位于中心位置,保证了餐饮服务的效率。室内外空间的融合设计也体现了对顾客体验的关注。通过对场地和功能需求的深入分析,设计师打造了一个既美观又实用的空间,流畅的动线设计和明确的功能分区,保证了顾客能够获得舒适愉悦的用餐体验。 这种以用户为中心的设计理念,提升了餐厅的整体品质。

From the architect. TasteSpace was commissioned to design Another Smith, the second-generation restaurant of Kapor Pla Rim Moei, which achieved great success in Dafu. The inspiration for this project comes from the catering business of the owner's parents, who have established a reputation for their signature fish bladder dishes. The name 'Another Smith' comes from the owner's surname Smithikorn, a Thai Chinese family that has achieved outstanding success in the field of Thai Chinese cuisine. When designing the logo, TasteSpace drew inspiration from traditional Chinese family seals, with red as the main color symbolizing auspiciousness and blue inspired by fish scales, echoing the fish cooking secrets passed down from generation to generation in the family.

To ensure that the architectural design is integrated with the local environment, TasteSpace collaborated with bamboo architecture expert Thor Kaichon and his team, using natural materials as the main building elements. The new restaurant is located on an open area, with a design that emphasizes functional flow, operational efficiency, and a smooth customer experience. The spatial layout fully integrates indoor and outdoor design from the overall planning stage.
为了确保建筑设计与当地环境相融合,TasteSpace 与竹建筑专家 Thor Kaichon 及其团队合作,以天然材料为主要建造元素。新餐厅坐落在一片开阔的场地之上,设计强调功能流线、运营效率及流畅的顾客体验。空间布局从总体规划阶段便充分整合了室内与室外设计。

The restaurant is mainly divided into three areas: restaurant, caf é, and jewelry store. The left area includes a jewelry store, office, and private rooms, while the right area features a caf é and main dining area. The kitchen is located in the central rear, ensuring smooth and efficient catering services in the restaurant and private rooms. In addition, the spatial layout has a high degree of flexibility, for example, only the front end caf é is open in the morning, while the restaurant section opens later.
餐厅主要分为三个区域:餐厅、咖啡馆和珠宝店。左侧区域包括珠宝店、办公室及私人包间,右侧区域则设有咖啡馆与主用餐区,厨房位于中央后方,确保餐厅与包间的餐饮服务流畅高效。此外,空间布局具备高度灵活性,例如早晨仅开放前端的咖啡馆,而餐厅部分则于稍晚时间营业。

In order to highlight the uniqueness of bamboo elements, TasteSpace and Thor Kaichon jointly developed a special bamboo blue dyeing process and integrated it into building structures and interior design. For example, the ceiling of the coffee area is made of blue dyed bamboo, while the exterior of the building is arranged in a staggered pattern of natural colored bamboo and blue dyed bamboo, presenting a fish scale pattern. Behind the coffee bar, a hollowed out wall displays the "SM" logo, becoming the visual focal point of the space. In addition, the bar counter is decorated with blue diagonal tiles, further enhancing the design theme of fish scales.
为了突出竹元素的独特性,TasteSpace 与 Thor Kaichon 共同研发了一种特别的竹材蓝染工艺,并将其融入建筑结构与室内设计中。例如,咖啡区天花板采用了蓝染竹材,而建筑外立面则运用自然色竹材与蓝染竹材交错排列,呈现鱼鳞状图案。在咖啡吧台后方,一面镂空墙展示了 “SM” 标志,成为空间的视觉焦点。此外,吧台则饰以蓝色斜纹瓷砖,进一步强化鱼鳞的设计主题。

TasteSpace expects Another Smith to provide customers with an immersive and relaxing experience, allowing them to experience a unique atmosphere while enjoying delicious food. At the same time, the restaurant also hopes to use distinctive design language to create a highly recognizable brand image.
TasteSpace 期望 Another Smith 能够为顾客提供沉浸式的放松体验,让人们在享受美食的同时感受独特的氛围。同时,餐厅也希望借助鲜明的设计语言,打造一个极具辨识度的品牌形象。
