The design of Nana Coffee Roasters' Central Sevilla branch began with the question of how to convey the deep story of the Nana Coffee Roasters brand in a unique way within a limited space of only 150 square meters. This design concept originated from a deep conversation with the brand founder - he recalled the hardships he went through in his entrepreneurial journey until he saw the key turning point of "the light at the end of the tunnel". The designer combines this metaphorical entrepreneurial narrative with the small scale of the site, in addition to architecture and interior design. The signage and graphic elements, such as the lines on the ordering counter, are all derived from the brand's identity, from its story, coffee making process, from planting to baking and brewing stages. Therefore, the story of coffee is intertwined with the design content, inspiring dialogue between tourists and baristas as they become addicted to their favorite coffee. By combining them, a cave like spatial structure is created, and through the hierarchical design of "nested space", customers can experience the sedimentation and breakthrough of the brand core while exploring.

The different sizes of these volume layers encourage customers to explore "volume sequences" and mimic the spatial atmosphere of caves. The negative space generated by the formation of the volume is filled with interlocking waffle lattice structures with various spacing, but presented in the same texture of dark gray tone to emit the feeling of the natural stone surface in the cave. The lighting design is within the building grid, highlighting the central foyer, which is the main area of the entrance. The entrance hall then flows into other areas of different volumes within the building. An additional mezzanine floor has been added to provide a more private seating area while creating another exploration zone for customers.

This project combines architecture and interior design together; The external design is enclosed to conceal the interior and create surprising elements while controlling the natural light entering the internal space. The surface of the building is wrapped in stone veneer, which is bent into ridges and interacts with sunlight to form shadow patterns on the facade. The appearance looks like a sturdy object to encourage tourists to be curious about the interior. Furniture is arranged according to the different "volumes" of the indoor space, and visitors can choose between private individual or group seating. All selected furniture has a circular shape to reflect the organic shape of the internal volume, and is controlled in the same scheme of gray, black, copper, and wood tones to achieve design continuity.

Larger group seats are located on the mezzanine and can be used for meetings or group events, such as coffee cups. The walls in this area are painted with cave paintings that depict the development of Nana Coffee Baking Company from its establishment to the present day. Metaphorically speaking, this mezzanine area also represents the beginning of civilization, therefore, it is painted white to contrast with other darker "cave" areas in the caf é.
