During the demolition process, as the building's history gradually emerged, the design team discovered structural weaknesses that had developed over time. Therefore, the design team reinforced it to ensure its stability while preserving the original wooden structure and decorations as much as possible. The intersection of woodworking skills from different eras showcases a unique beauty and charm. Throughout the renovation process, the design team carefully considered every historical element, balancing it with modern design to create a space where guests can personally experience traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

In the west wing, the design team retained the original soil flooring (tatami mats), which is now connected to small courtyards (open spaces) located in the north and south of the east wing. Although the lighting in traditional townhouses is a challenge, the restaurant and lounge are designed adjacent to the courtyard, introducing ample natural light.

The three rooms on the second floor of the west wing offer a view of the Higashimoto Kanji Temple through cherry blossom trees. These rooms also have large cypress bathtubs, allowing guests to enjoy the beautiful scenery while soaking. The attic in the bathroom area exposes the original roof planks and earthen walls, allowing people to glimpse the woodworking skills of that time.

The two rooms on the first floor of the East Wing have niches (bed rooms) made of recycled materials and decorated with artworks inspired by traditional woodworking. The outdoor bathtub by the bed seamlessly blends with the view of the courtyard, providing guests with a peaceful and private space that is connected to nature. The two duplex rooms spanning the second and third floors evoke the traditional town house's earth flooring and living space. The third floor is accessed through a drawer style staircase (たんす stage) and features a spacious bathroom with a flat cypress bathtub, creating an open and relaxed atmosphere.
