From the architect. Gambit is a professional pipeline distribution company that commissioned a design team to design an office warehouse building as its unique display space. The design team was asked to achieve this at the lowest possible cost, and thus came up with the idea of using the materials they trade daily as the main building materials. This approach effectively integrated the office and warehouse parts into a cohesive whole. The design team designed the building in the shape of a pile of pipes, which intuitively conveyed the company's business.

The three main functions of a building - warehouse, order preparation workshop, and office area - are reflected in its form. The lower part is the workshop, and the higher rectangular prism is the unheated warehouse. The layout of the pipeline determines the inclination of the roof. The inclination angle of the pipeline determines the shape of this part of the building, and the office space with a sloping roof has been adjusted on the second floor according to the local building height restrictions.

The volume of Gambit Building blends well into the surrounding environment. Due to the fact that Gambit pipes are specifically designed for underground use and the design team found that they oxidize under ultraviolet light, which does not meet fire safety requirements, the final building facade was not made of Gambit pipes. On the contrary, the design team chose a cheap raw aluminum plate, which is not only cheaper but also forms a layer of luster over time, presenting a rough, primitive concrete texture. In addition, this type of board is very durable, almost indestructible, and easy to maintain.

The pipes at the edge of the building have been covered to prevent them from making noise in the wind. Although investors initially feared that the building could become a shelter for various animals, the design team ultimately decided not to install bird nets. The design team believed that it would be beneficial if birds liked this building and it could also gain additional functionality, and ultimately the design team successfully convinced the investors.

Traditional windows and skylights provide ample indoor light. In the first floor office space, the reasonable arrangement of windows allows employees to have sufficient lighting, and through the windows, employees can see the small garden opened up from the parking lot. The upper storage area and auxiliary rooms require flexible space along the exterior walls, illuminated by skylights. In addition, the design team has designed a leisure terrace for employees on the roof of the lowest part of the entire building.
