设计细节与功能融合：建筑的亮点在于对细节的精湛把握。悬挑的幕墙采用了橡木和粗锯云杉木板，幕墙开口处的新月形图案木板设计，不仅美观，也呼应了“月木”的主题。墙体结构的设计也颇具匠心，两层纯木构件之间夹着防风纸，低品质木材的使用反而提升了隔热效果。此外，设计师充分利用建筑的每一个空间，包括两层高的入口大厅，混凝土结构的核心筒被巧妙地转化为雕塑作品。顶层壁炉的设计则为办公空间增添了温馨感，这种对细节的关注，使得整个建筑不仅仅是一个办公场所，更是一件艺术品。

In the past decade, as the second generation leader of K ü ng Holzbau, a timber construction company, Stephan K ü ng has been committed to the development of solid wood construction. Holzpur is the architectural system name introduced by Kuhn in the market. The basic components of this system are solid wall components approximately 20 centimeters thick, made up of seven layers of stacked wooden boards. These wooden boards are all made of "moon wood", which is usually cut down before Christmas or the new moon, by which time the water in the trees has almost completely evaporated. Using this type of wood can reduce shrinkage deformation and lower the risk of being attacked by wood insects. Kuhn Company firmly believes in this, and they have also found more and more customers who are unwilling to use traditional board and adhesive frame structures and only want pure wood - pure wood, it's that simple. Kuhn Wood Construction Company recently completed the construction of its headquarters building in a small industrial area near Alpnakh, which is also the birthplace of the company since its establishment. This new headquarters not only solves the problem of space demand, but also serves as a demonstration project for solid wood architecture, a business card, and a 1:1 billboard, fully showcasing the charm of solid wood architecture. The building was designed by Seiler Linhart architects located in Lucerne and Saarland, who have been working closely with Kuhn since 2009.

This nearly square four story building provides independent office space for 20 project leading engineers, as well as meeting rooms, a ground floor caf é, and a top floor exhibition space for interested clients to learn about the products represented by the company. Visually, the building features a surrounding wooden enclosure and cantilevered balconies, reminiscent of traditional balcony designs in central Switzerland. These balconies not only serve as outdoor activity spaces, but also have shading functions, so there is no need to install additional shading systems.

The overhanging part of the curtain wall is made of oak, and the surface of the curtain wall is covered with rough sawn spruce wood boards. The lintel at the opening of the curtain wall is decorated with CNC milled crescent shaped wooden boards - a design element that echoes the theme of 'moon wood'. The wall is composed of two pure wooden components with a layer of windproof paper sandwiched in between, forming a wall structure with a total thickness of about 40 centimeters. The wooden boards used for the inner side of the wall are made of low-quality wood that is usually processed into fiberboard. These wooden boards are not tightly spliced and instead become an advantage, as the air trapped between the boards helps to enhance insulation performance.

The precision and attention to detail demonstrated by Seiler Linhart Architects in their work are astonishing. Its design even extends to sophisticated wooden furniture systems, which support multiple combinations and can perfectly adapt to various rooms. The two-story entrance hall is impressive: there is a reception desk on the right side and a conference table on the left side; Through the wooden screen, the conference room on the first floor opens up to the lobby. And as soon as people enter through the main door, the core of the building unexpectedly catches their eye - it is a concrete structure that runs through each floor, accommodating stairs and elevators. Architects turn objective needs into design highlights, transforming non wooden reinforced cores into a sculptural work. As an administrative office building, the entrance hall and two fireplaces on the top floor add a warm atmosphere to the building, but due to the use of solid wood materials and the sensory experience they bring, this building almost never gives people the stereotypical impression of a traditional administrative building.
