The client of this building is an automotive import and dealer company, which is fully aware of the profound changes and uncertainties that the automotive industry is about to face. To put it tactfully, electric vehicles require less maintenance, car showrooms are gradually being replaced by websites, and the sharing economy is replacing traditional ownership models, instead promoting the concept of "travel as a service".

However, a large-scale car repair workshop and exhibition halls for different brands of cars are still important components of the project. In addition, a series of productive spaces will also be integrated, which complement the vibrant characteristics of the community located along the Brussels Canal.

What is needed here is not a building that can adapt infinitely to new uses, but a structure that can accommodate any activity; Therefore, we propose a type of architecture that integrates landscape, urban density, logistics, and architecture.

The interior of the building adopts a reasonable and high load-bearing concrete structure, with a floor span of 16.2 meters and a height of 7 meters. If necessary, a middle steel floor can also be added. On the exterior of the building, the stability of the structure is balanced through curved transparent facades (with glass material on the southeast side and steel cables and mesh structure on the northwest side). The design inspiration for these facades comes from the dynamic driving of cars and trucks on site, the curved direction of the main road, and the amorphous boundary contour of the plot. In the end, a series of courtyards and atrium run through this large building volume, providing a supplement to the lack of space and tranquility on the outside.
