New urban landmark
Nantes is renowned for its excellent quality of life, and this city stands out with its attractiveness and astonishing sustained development.. As a major metropolis in western France, Nantes is gradually reshaping its urban contours to meet the demands and expectations of the times. The new Nantes train station is just around the corner, and this project is an integral part of the region's revitalization and transformation. As part of a major urban renewal project in the city, this new complex symbolizes the link between the historic district in the north and the new Euronantes district in the south.

As a new urban landmark in the region's transformation, this project integrates transportation infrastructure with two local corporate headquarters: Lucca and Lhyfe. The complex is jointly managed by Nantes M é tropole Am é nagement and Bati Nantes, adjacent to train and bus stations, closely connected to public spaces, and features one of the largest bicycle parking lots in France, accommodating 1470 bicycles. The project was jointly designed by DREAM and AIA Life Designers, and constructed by a consortium consisting of ETPO (lead party) and local enterprises such as ANDRE BTP and BRIANG BOIS.

Vertical Multi functional Layout
This building complex is nine stories high, with four floors serving as a multimodal transportation hub and five floors as an office building. Its structure is simple yet capable of meeting complex functional requirements.. Its design is based on clear principles: user-friendly, convenient and accessible, simple in size, and strong environmental aspirations. Choosing a vertical layout reduces the footprint and encourages space saving urban development. The building is open on all sides and accessible to everyone. The ramp, escalator, moving walkway, staircase, and freight elevator together form a smooth and inclusive transportation system.
垂直多功能布局
该建筑群高九层，其中四层为多式联运枢纽，五层为办公楼，其结构简洁，却能满足复杂的功能需求。其设计基于清晰的原则：用户友好、便捷通达、体量简约且具有强烈的环保抱负。选择垂直布局减少了占地面积，鼓励节约空间的城市发展。建筑四面开放，人人皆可进入。坡道、自动扶梯、自动步道、楼梯和货运电梯共同构成了一个流畅、包容的通行系统。

This building interprets the changes in transportation, sustainable development, workplace well-being, and broader urban spaces of our time in its own way, evoking a never-ending sense of movement and the hurried figures of people shuttling through it. It foreshadows future architectural challenges and therefore possesses reversibility to keep up with the pace of social development. This project is a reflection of the dynamic development of the city.

Open functional layout
The multimodal transportation hub adopts a large-span concrete beam column structure, which releases space, makes the layout flexible and versatile, and visually transparent.. This project breaks down the boundaries of functional areas and provides a smooth and intuitive user experience by establishing connections between floors and different functions. Its smooth curves and large french window create an open and atmospheric architectural style, which is directly connected with the public space. On the first floor, there is a bus stop with a waiting hall and shops that directly leads to the front square and platform. Looking from the lobby, the glass mezzanine displays the iconic elements of the project: the bicycle parking area's "Big 8" circular route and its access space. The other two floors are equipped with car rental and parking lots.

多式联运枢纽采用大跨度的混凝土梁柱结构，释放了空间，布局灵活多变，且视觉通透。该项目通过建立各楼层之间的连接以及不同功能之间的联系，打破了功能区域的界限，提供了流畅、直观的使用体验。其流畅的曲线和大面积的落地窗打造了开放大气的建筑风格，与公共空间直接相连。一楼，设有候车大厅和商店的公交车站直接通向前广场和站台。从大堂望去，玻璃夹层展示了项目的标志性元素：自行车停车区“大 8 字”循环路线及其通行空间。另外两层则设有汽车租赁停车场。

Rich family atmosphere
The office building is located above the multimodal transportation hub, accessed through a separate lobby that leads to outdoor spaces that naturally extend into the workplace.. These breathtaking spaces encourage informal communication, shared rest, and seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces. Away from the traditional office building model, raw materials such as wood, clay tiles, and plants create a warm family atmosphere, making people feel at home. The external passage encourages people to move around, enhances spontaneous interaction, and creates a vibrant and transparent architectural style that echoes the dynamics of the site.
浓郁的家庭氛围
办公楼位于多式联运枢纽之上，通过独立的大堂进入，可通往自然延伸工作场所的户外空间。这些令人叹为观止的空间鼓励非正式交流、共享休息以及室内外的无缝衔接。远离传统的办公楼模式，原木、陶土瓦、植物等原材料营造出温馨的家庭氛围，让人宾至如归。外部通道鼓励人们走动，加强了自发的互动，营造出一种充满活力、通透的建筑风格，与场地的动态相呼应。

Wood Declaration
Within the office building, wood is fully displayed.. DREAM's expertise in timber construction is fully utilized here, with solid wood structures and visible cross laminated timber (CLT) flooring that does not require false ceilings. All network systems - ventilation, fluid - are integrated into the technical floor, freeing up space and showcasing the charm of wood. Here, the raw materials embody the concepts of minimalism and frugality. The soft texture of wood creates a warm and pleasant atmosphere, which is beneficial for physical and mental health. Bright, naturally ventilated, and modular floors provide great flexibility in usage and configuration.

Collective rooftop garden
At a height of 12 meters above the ground, a 1690 square meter aerial garden resembles a cool oasis, overlooking the city and offering a panoramic view of the station, botanical garden, and Nantes rooftop landscape.. The garden is located between two units, coordinating the functions of public facilities and office. This large public space provides a leisure space that promotes informal communication and shared use for the two Nantes companies that have settled in the office building. The 3700 square meter green space - roof, walkway, garden - plays a positive role in the thermal comfort of the building, helping to reduce temperature through plant transpiration. In addition to having a positive impact on biodiversity, green spaces also symbolize encounters, reminding us of the joy of walking and the benefits of physical exercise. By using local varieties and rocks, they also reflect the unique characteristics of the Loire River region in Nantes.

Off site construction
This project extensively employs off-site construction methods.. This method addresses significant challenges such as planning, quality, and spatial optimization in restricted environments. The wooden frame exterior walls, doors and windows, and laminated wooden structures are fully prefabricated at the Briand Bois factory (49) in V é riel, Anjou region. Cross laminated timber (CLT) is manufactured by the Piveteau bois factory (85) in Saint Florent, Vend é e Province; 10800 square meters of wooden frame structure; 8-month wooden frame construction period; Prefabricated concrete columns.
