Meadows Primary School is a multicultural school located in the Bodemelo district of northern Melbourne. Project 12 has been commissioned to design a new 10 classroom teaching building for the school to accommodate 200 new students, equipped with support space, consultation/welfare rooms, staff work areas, and facilities for students and staff. As part of the project, multiple learning spaces on campus have also been upgraded to provide independent classrooms, flexible teaching spaces, and consultation rooms to better meet the needs of the school.

From the beginning of the project, Project 12 worked closely with the school to understand the academic, social, and emotional needs of students and the broader school community, ensuring that the designed and proposed buildings best supported their needs. Considering that 71% of students are English as a Second Language (EAL) students, 6% of students have refugee status, and some students may have experienced traumatic events, and some students have limited exposure to formal school education, the design scheme pays special attention to rational, calm, and safe learning spaces, reasonable instruction systems, sensitive processing of acoustics, and sufficient space to display visual learning aids. Meanwhile, the classroom can be flexibly transformed into independent or collaborative learning modes.

Project 12 maintained an open and efficient collaboration with the school, Victoria School Building Authority (VSBA), and consulting team, and completed the construction of the new classroom building in less than six months. Since April 2022, the school has been using newly constructed classroom buildings, and students and the entire community are extremely proud of these warm spaces. The school stated that the newly built teaching environment provides a calm and positive atmosphere, which has significantly improved students' learning outcomes. Students have become more engaged and their connections with each other have become closer.

At Meadows Elementary School, Project 12 Architecture always puts the needs of its clients first - providing a rational, calm architectural design that meets students' academic, social, and emotional needs. In this way, they created a simple and elegant outcome that placed the school's needs above the self-expression of design. The carefully designed exterior facade complements the highly functional interior layout. The design of the corridor cleverly incorporates color and natural light, creating a quiet and fun atmosphere. The overall design adheres to integrity, and the final result is admirable
