建筑语言的创新与传承:项目的精髓在于其对传统与现代建筑语言的巧妙融合。新建的行政楼(H楼)展现了现代建筑的简洁与高效,其线性布局明确了学校的轴线,并合理划分了公共和私密区域。而对A楼的翻新则体现了对当地传统建筑的致敬。设计者从喀拉拉州文化中汲取灵感,通过增加柱子和屋顶,以及柔和的色调与光影变化,营造出宁静而宏伟的氛围。这种既保留传统特色又满足现代功能需求的做法,不仅美观实用,更促进了学生间的互动与交流。通过这些设计,建筑本身成为了教育的一部分,激发学生的学习兴趣和创造力。
空间规划与可持续性:项目在空间规划方面展现出卓越的专业性。行政楼的底层开阔通透,与周围环境无缝连接,成为学校的入口。一层半开放的设计,结合走廊、线性窗、双层空间等元素,营造出充满活力和启发性的学习环境。自然光线的引入,粗糙的混凝土质感与泥土色调的结合,以及楼层间的阳台设计,都体现了对建筑功能、美学和可持续性的周全考虑。项目分阶段进行的设计策略,以及在预算限制下的设计挑战,也体现了设计师对项目整体性和落地性的深刻理解,最终打造出一个既注重功能性又充满人文关怀的教育场所。

From the architect. C.A.H.S. School is located in the countryside of Ayakade, India, nestled between rice paddies, blending local architectural styles and traditions to provide a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of the city, surrounded by lush greenery. The project site was originally filled with low-quality, directional, and dated buildings, lacking overall planning. The goal of this project is to develop an overall plan and improve the school.

The project is divided into six stages and adopts strategies such as preservation, restoration, adaptive reuse, new construction, and renovation. The first phase focused on the construction of the administrative building (H building), which was inspired by existing challenges in its design; In the second stage, the senior teaching building (Building A) was renovated. The remaining four stages include demolition, reconstruction, preservation, adaptive reuse, and future development planning. One of the main challenges facing the project is how to design within budget constraints.
项目分为六个阶段进行,采取了保存、修复、适应性再利用、新建和翻修等策略。第一阶段重点建设了行政楼(H 楼),该楼的设计灵感源自现有的挑战;第二阶段则对高年级教学楼(A 楼)进行了翻新。其余四个阶段包括拆除、重建、保存、适应性再利用及未来发展规划。项目面临的一个主要挑战是如何在预算限制内进行设计。

The newly built administrative building (H building, with an area of 20659 square feet) is located on a 2.53 acre site and integrates multiple functions. The linear layout of the building clearly determines the axis of the school, highlights the entrance, and divides the public and private areas. The building includes conference rooms, classrooms, and a flexible auditorium. The efficient and reasonable planning of space ensures good management. The ground floor is spacious and connected to the surrounding environment, becoming the entrance to the school.
新建的行政楼(H 楼,面积 20,659 平方英尺)坐落于 2.53 英亩的场地上,集多种功能于一体。建筑的线性布局明确地确定了学校的轴线,突出了入口,同时划分了公共区域和私密区域。该楼包含会议室、教室以及灵活的礼堂。空间的规划高效且合理,确保了良好的管理。底层开阔,与周围环境相连,成为通向学校的入口。

The first floor has a semi open space with parallel corridors along the floor, visually connecting the open ground floor with surrounding buildings. The elements in the design, such as corridors, linear windows facing north, double layered spaces, gathering spaces, and classrooms with light on both sides, together create a vivid and inspiring environment. Natural light shines into the interior through the architectural design, creating an elegant and vibrant learning space that stimulates students' thinking. The architectural style blends rough concrete texture with earthy tones, and the balconies between floors enhance the transparency of the space and seamless connection between interior and exterior, making the building more closely integrated with the surrounding environment.
一层设有半开放空间,带有沿楼面平行的走廊,视觉上将开敞的底层与周围建筑连接起来。设计中诸如走廊、朝北的线性窗、双层空间、集会空间以及两侧都有光线的教室等元素,共同营造了生动、富有启发性的环境。自然光透过建筑设计洒入室内,创造了一个优雅而充满活力的学习空间,激发学生的思维。建筑风格融合了粗糙的混凝土质感与泥土色调,楼层间的阳台增强了空间的透明感和室内外的无缝连接,使建筑与周围环境更紧密地融合。

The second phase is the renovation of Building A (with an area of 8720 square feet). The design draws inspiration from the surrounding architecture and traditional Kerala culture, adding columns and roofs to the existing structure and changing the layout of the space. The corridor adopts soft tones and changes in light and shadow, creating a peaceful and magnificent atmosphere. These pillars and corridors now not only provide shade and comfortable resting spaces, but also provide a place for interaction. This renovation successfully balanced traditional heritage and functional needs, promoting an active learning atmosphere, social interaction, and emotional development.
第二阶段则是对 A 楼(面积 8,720 平方英尺)的翻新。设计从周围的建筑和传统的喀拉拉州文化中汲取灵感,为现有结构增添了外立面的柱子和屋顶,改变了空间的布局。走廊采用柔和的色调与光影变化,营造出宁静而宏伟的氛围。这些柱子和走廊现在不仅提供了遮荫和舒适的休息空间,还为互动提供了场所。此次翻新成功平衡了传统遗产与功能需求,促进了活跃的学习氛围、社交互动以及情感发展。

It is a place where children can feel safe and relaxed, as well as a space that encourages interaction and collaboration between students and teachers.
