From the architect. ISALAB is an engineering school specializing in the field of architecture and construction, in addition to its Montaury campus located in Anglet, southwestern France (there may be other campuses, as stated in the original text). The three buildings of the school are arranged in sequence from west to east along the eastern edge of the site, facing a square and garden designed as an open space in the Montmorie Forest.

The building cleverly establishes subtle connections with nature and its surrounding environment through winding paths in the courtyard area and carefully arranged vegetation. Corresponding to the courtyard, the internal space is arranged around spacious courtyards designed for personnel flow, communication, interaction, and shared gatherings. Passive building technology combines the thermal inertia of concrete with external insulation layers. On all facades, the building cleverly integrates natural lighting and shading design, and takes this theme as the dominant principle for designing sunny facades.
建筑通过蜿蜒于庭院区域的步道以及精心布置的植被,巧妙地与自然及其周边环境建立起微妙联系。与庭院相呼应,内部空间围绕宽敞的中庭布局,这些中庭专为人员流动、交流互动与共享欢聚而设计。被动式建筑技术将混凝土的热惰性与外部保温层相结合。在所有立面上,建筑巧妙融合自然采光与遮阳设计,并将这一主题作为设计向阳立面的主导原则。

This building is designed specifically for specialized training in the field of concrete construction, and its interior space showcases the unmodified original state of concrete in all aspects. As a constant element in architecture, the structural system is attached to all other components that need to be moved, disassembled, and reassembled according to operational needs and usage changes, such as partitions, sound-absorbing panels, insulation layers, shading devices, and equipment pipelines.
这座建筑专为混凝土建造领域的专项培训而设计,其内部空间全方位展示了混凝土未经修饰的原始状态。结构体系作为建筑中的恒定元素,其他所有需根据运营需求和使用变化进行移动、拆卸与重新组装的构件,如隔断、吸声板、保温层、遮阳装置及设备管线等,均依附于这一结构体系之上。

This design feature, along with the original expressive power presented by the structural system and attached components, constitutes the most prominent symbol of the building. This design method not only showcases the assembly process of the building, but also provides visitors and users with a comprehensive view of the work results of different construction workers, directly reaching the core part of the equipment pipeline. It allows all personnel involved in the construction to showcase their work results, while also providing a pathway for architecture students to get in touch with and understand various construction professions.
