设计理念与空间叙事:“非洲之花幼儿园”项目展现了对教育空间深刻的理解,它打破了传统幼儿园的刻板印象,转而强调儿童与环境之间的情感联结。项目核心在于将教育理念融入建筑本身,通过流畅和直观的空间设计,引导儿童在日常活动中自然而然地探索和学习。项目采用了“生态系统连续体”的设计理念,将山地、稀树草原、村落、森林等多种生态场景融入校园,营造出一种沉浸式的学习体验,让孩子们在空间中穿梭,体验不同的场景,培养他们的认知能力和互动能力。这种设计手法赋予了幼儿园独特的场所精神,使孩子们在玩耍中学习,在体验中成长。
材料与建造的创新:项目最令人赞叹之处在于其对本土材料的创新性运用和对当地建造技术的尊重。建筑师巧妙地利用当地特有的阿佐贝木、夯土砖等材料,并与当地工匠合作,共同完成了建造。这种策略不仅降低了建筑的碳排放,也促进了当地社区的发展,为当地工匠提供了学习新技术的机会。建筑师并没有简单地照搬西方设计理念,而是深入研究了当地的文化和建造传统,并将其融入到现代建筑设计中。这种双向学习的模式,使得项目在技术层面和文化层面都具有了重要的意义。项目不仅是一个建筑实体,更是一场关于建造范式的革新,展示了可持续发展的可能性。
可持续性与未来展望:该项目充分展现了对可持续发展的关注。建筑的水电自给自足,并且其设计理念也旨在促进当地社区的长期发展。水塔被设计成一个木质空间装置,整合了光伏技术,充分体现了对当地资源的利用。整个项目计划扩展为涵盖幼儿园到中学的教育综合体,这表明了其长期发展愿景。通过将教育、社区、环境紧密结合,该项目不仅仅是建造了一所幼儿园,更是为当地社区打造了一个具有社会、文化、经济意义的中心。这种前瞻性的规划,以及对本土文化和材料的尊重,使得这个项目具有了超越建筑本身的价值,为未来的建筑设计提供了宝贵的借鉴。

This kindergarten located in Cameroon draws inspiration from traditional African architectural philosophy and reimagines the possibilities of educational space. Its educational philosophy establishes an emotional connection between children and the space that shapes daily activities in a smooth and intuitive manner. Architects Vicente Guallart and Daniel Ib áñ ez adopted a low tech construction strategy, collaborating with local craftsmen and using local materials to respond to the development pressure brought by rapid urbanization with logs and rammed earth, creating a building that is closely connected to the land.
这所位于喀麦隆的幼儿园,从非洲传统建筑哲学中汲取灵感,重新构想了教育空间的可能性。其教育理念以流畅而直觉的方式,在儿童与塑造日常活动的空间之间建立情感联结。建筑师维森特·瓜利亚特(Vicente Guallart)与丹尼尔·伊瓦涅斯(Daniel Ibáñez)采用低技术建造策略,与当地工匠合作、运用本土材料,以原木与夯土回应快速城市化带来的发展压力,打造出一座与土地血脉相连的建筑。

The design of the African Rhyme Kindergarten originates from the vision of exploring new educational models in Africa. This campus, initiated by the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth and located in the town of Soa near the capital of Cameroon, Yaound é, is designed with the concept of "ecosystem continuum" - integrating the four major ecological scenes of mountains, savannas, villages, and forests, allowing children to trace their cultural roots through spatial experience. Here, children shuttle between different scenes every day, develop skills in diverse contexts through smooth spatial transitions, and establish multi-level interactive relationships with peers and campus communities.
非洲流韵幼儿园的设计源于非洲探索新型教育模式的愿景。这所由拿撒勒圣家传教修女会发起、坐落于喀麦隆首都雅温得附近索阿镇的校园,以“生态系统连续体”为设计理念 —— 将山地、稀树草原、村落与森林四大生态场景融为一体,让孩子在空间体验中溯源文化本真。在这里,儿童每日穿梭于不同场景之间,通过流畅的空间过渡,在多元情境中发展技能,并与同伴及校园社群建立多层次的互动关系。

The campus is laid out with a central courtyard as the core, and the interior space composed of four ecological scenes is organically connected through corridors. Each ecosystem contains functional components that children can recognize and use to plan daily campus activities:
- Mountains: A Land of Inspiration and Creation
There are natural caves for children to contemplate alone and engage in self dialogue in tranquility.

-Village: a place of communication and coexistence
includes an abstract designed chapel, where light and shadow pour down through the hollow walls, creating a solemn atmosphere suitable for collective meditation.
-Savage Grassland: Collaborative Learning Field
The wide linear space simulates the educational form of "sitting around a campfire", where children can play on the ground or use stepped chairs to carry out group activities.
-Forest: a transitional zone of internal and external integration
Adjacent to the native grove stands a modular "construction tree" - its structure is similar to Lego bricks, which can be climbed and explored by children, achieving a seamless connection from artificial to natural.
校园以中央庭院为核心展开布局,四个生态场景构成的内室空间通过连廊有机串联。每个生态系统均包含儿童可识别的功能组件,并以此规划日常校园活动:

设有天然岩洞,供儿童独处沉思,在静谧中实现自我对话。

包含一座抽象化设计的礼拜堂,光影透过镂空墙体倾泻而下,营造出适合集体静思的肃穆氛围。
-稀树草原:协作式学习场域
宽阔的线性空间模拟“篝火围坐”的教育形态,儿童可席地而玩,或利用阶梯式座椅开展小组活动。
-森林:内外交融的过渡带
毗邻原生小树林处矗立着一座模块化“建构树”——其结构类似乐高积木,可供儿童攀爬探索,实现从人工到自然的无缝衔接。

In the campus, children's daily activities and spatial characteristics form a deep resonance: during morning gatherings, they sit around with teachers to discuss together; Fragmented information stimulates cognitive exploration; Exercise physical fitness through cantilever monkey racks and climbing ladders; Meditation in a space that inspires spirituality; Play freely in the central courtyard; Exploring nature in groups; Hands on experiments in the materials laboratory; Play music pieces with local instruments. Campus design follows a minimalist construction system and primitive geometric logic - these characteristics stem from the expression of the authenticity of materials. In addition, the original terrain elevation difference of the site provides the possibility for the expansion of the second floor space, and its initial function will serve as a residence for community members of the "African Flow Charm" project.
在校园中,孩子们的日常活动与空间特质形成深度呼应:晨间集会时,他们与教师围坐共议;碎片化信息激发认知探索;通过悬臂猴架与攀爬梯锻炼体能;在启迪灵性的空间中静思冥想;于中央庭院尽情嬉戏;以小组形式展开自然探索;在材料实验室动手实验;更以本土乐器奏响音乐篇章。校园设计遵循简约建造体系与原始几何逻辑 —— 这些特质源于材料本真的表达。此外,场地原有的地形高差为二层空间的拓展提供可能,其初始功能将作为“非洲流韵”项目社区成员的驻留场所。

The construction innovation driven by local materials - implementing projects designed by European teams in Africa can only be achieved through a two-way learning path. Its core goal is to explore how to stimulate local community vitality, teach new construction technologies, and resonate in a global context through a moderately scaled project. In the contemporary global economic system, 'progress' often equates to the global promotion of industrialization processes, standardized systems, and homogenized materials. The ambition of this case is not only to complete the design and construction of the building entity, but also to reconstruct Cameroon's construction paradigm, which includes the large-scale application of low-carbon local materials, co building a localized product marketing network with suppliers, constructing a craftsman skills training system, and incorporating the project into the social education framework to achieve collective empowerment through teacher transmission.
本土材料驱动的建造革新 —— 在非洲实施欧洲团队设计的项目,唯有以双向学习为路径方能成行。其核心目标在于探索:如何通过一个适度规模的项目,既激发本土社区活力、传授新型建造技术,又能在全球语境下引发共鸣。在当代全球经济体系中,“进步”往往等同于工业化流程、标准化系统与均质化材料的全球推广。而本案的雄心,在于不仅完成建筑实体的设计与建造,更要重构喀麦隆的建造范式 —— 这涵盖低碳本土材料的规模化应用、与供应商共建本地化产品营销网络、工匠技能培训体系构建,以及将项目纳入社会教育学框架,通过教师传导实现集体赋能。

To build the 'African Flow Charm' project, the team conducted in-depth research on local manufacturers and identified those enterprises that have been exporting products to Europe or China for a long time as partners for cooperation. The main body of the building is made of Azob é - a locally sourced high-density wood known for its natural anti termite properties. Its structural construction is entirely carried out by local craftsmen who lack experience in woodworking, giving rise to a replicable collective learning model and providing a paradigm for low-carbon construction in the context of rapid urbanization. The wall is made of unburned rammed earth bricks, and the brick surface presents multiple textures, allowing light to freely penetrate indoors and outdoors. The building thus forms a visual continuity with the reddish brown local soil beneath its feet, and the rammed earth brick supplier adopts a minimalist manufacturing process, achieving large-scale production with only basic technology. Indoor decoration uses local tree species such as Iroko wood, Sapele wood, Dushi wood, and Mowingi wood, which are classified as expensive tropical hardwoods in the international market but are common building materials in Cameroon.

The water tower in the park has broken through the traditional concrete structure paradigm and been reconstructed into a wooden spatial device with stacked photovoltaic skins. In the context of frequent power supply interruptions, this design ensures the building's self-sufficiency in water and electricity, and transforms the wisdom of ancestral buildings into contemporary spatial language in a recognizable community landmark form. Its design deeply integrates local materials and cultural genes, adopts minimalist geometric logic and construction system, and will be expanded into a full cycle education complex covering kindergarten to middle school in the future.
园区水塔突破传统混凝土结构范式,被重构为叠合光伏表皮的木质空间装置。这一设计在电力供应频遭中断的语境下,确保了建筑的水电自给自足,更以可辨识的社区地标形态,将适地性改造后的祖传建筑智慧转化为当代空间语言。其设计深度融合本土材料与文化基因,采用极简几何逻辑与建造体系,未来将扩展为覆盖幼儿园至中学的全周期教育综合体。
