Next to the site of the project stands a red brick church with a history of 60 years, which was renovated by Studio Tngtetshiu a year ago and named "Church of Church". The task this time is to build a new complex next to the church, including residential buildings, warehouses, and amusement parks. Each part is functionally independent of each other, but can be integrated under specific conditions. The design intention of Studio Tngtetshiu is to avoid mutual interference between different functional areas while preserving certain connections between them.
该项目的场地旁矗立着一座拥有 60 年历史的红砖教堂，一年前由 Studio Tngtetshiu 负责翻新，并命名为“教堂中的教堂”（Church of Church）。此次的任务是在教堂旁新建一个综合体，包含住宅、仓库和游乐场。各部分在功能上相互独立，但在特定条件下又能融为一体。 Studio Tngtetshiu 的设计意图在于避免不同功能区域之间的相互干扰，同时保留它们之间的某些联系。

The overall system of the building consists of an undefined intermediate space that corresponds to the central axis opening of the adjacent ancient church. The new building adopts a steel structure system, creating a sharp contrast between the lightweight texture of steel and the heavy brick masonry displayed by the 60 year old church on one side. The appearance of the building resembles a random variation of the common metal houses in rural areas. It is a building with two sets of large double pitched roofs, and it is composed of two independent buildings each with a double pitched roof. It inherently contains complex and contradictory characteristics; It is both a warehouse and a residence.

These two buildings each have related but different structural systems and architectural languages, and blend and share with each other. The fragments of architectural elements inherit the cohesive style of the internal architectural elements of the Church of Church. The opening designs of various heights and scales not only maintain the privacy of the building, but also connect the internal and external spaces of the building, allowing people to feel a broader view when inside the building.
